摘要:
Systems and methods for producing aerogel materials are generally described. In certain cases, the methods do not require supercritical drying as part of the manufacturing process. In some cases, certain combinations of materials, solvents, and/or processing steps may be synergistically employed so as to enable manufacture of large (e.g., meter-scale), substantially crack free, and/or mechanically strong aerogel materials.

A method of manufacturing a flexible intrinsically antimicrobial absorbent porosic composite controlling for an effective pore size using removable pore-forming substances and physically incorporated, non-leaching antimicrobials. A flexible intrinsically antimicrobial absorbent porosic composite controlled for an effective pore size composited physically incorporated, high-surface area, non-leaching antimicrobials, optionally in which the physically incorporated non-leaching antimicrobial exposes nanopillars on its surface to enhance antimicrobial activity. A kit that enhances the effectiveness of the intrinsically antimicrobial absorbent porosic composite by storing the composite within an antimicrobial container.

The present invention relates to a process for the production of a multi-layered material having anisotropic pores. It further relates to a multi-layered material which can be produced by the process according to the invention, and to the use of a multi-layered material as a chondral support matrix, a meniscus support matrix or an intervertebral disc support matrix.
摘要:
A resin product wherein a resin B has pillar structures or lamellar structures inside a resin A is molded by kneading the resin A and the resin B that serves as a base material in an injection molding machine while heating both of the resins to at least a temperature at which both of the resins are melted at least partially. The resin product is soaked in a solution having higher erosion capability with respect to the resin A than the resin B, thereby dissolving the resin B and forming an uneven structure on the surface. As a result, an uneven structure having various shapes, densities or depths which are precisely adjustable can be formed at low cost. And provided are a resin structure and a production method thereof that can maintain wettability control or optical property control of the molded article over a long period of time.

Provided are porogen compositions and methods of using such porogen compositions in the manufacture of porous materials, for example, porous silicone elastomers. The porogens generally include comprising a core material and shell material different from the core material. The porogens can be used to form a scaffold for making a resulting porous elastomer when the scaffold is removed.

The present invention provides a resinous porous article having a high interconnected hole porosity and capable of retaining a large amount of a lubricating oil and does not rust iron and steel, even though an unextracted portion of a pore-forming substance bleeds out when the resinous porous article is used as parts which contact a metal portion or the like and a method of producing the resinous porous article. The resinous porous article is formed by a producing method of molding a resin containing the pore-forming substance into a molding, and extracting the pore-forming substance from the molding with a solvent which does not dissolve the resin therein. The resinous porous article has an interconnected hole porosity not less than 30%. The pore-forming substance consists of an alkali compound.

A polytetrafluoroethylene porous body which is produced by molding a polytetrafluoroethylene mixture, including a polytetrafluoroethylene powder and a pore-forming agent, into a predetermined shape, and subsequently removing the pore-forming agent. The pore-forming agent includes (a) one or more powders selected from a group consisting of dicarboxylic acid powders and benzoic acid powders, and (b) an organic solvent.

A method of producing a nanoporous silica dielectric film having improved mechanical strength. A composition is formed which comprises in admixture a porogen, a solvent, a catalyst and a combination of silicon containing pre-polymers.
摘要:
A shaped article (e.g., a porous material, and a spherical particle) comprising (A) a resin component is produced by kneading the resin component (A) (e.g., a thermoplastic resin) and a water-soluble auxiliary component (B) to prepare a dispersed composition, and eluting the auxiliary component (B) from the dispersed composition. The auxiliary component (B) may comprise 100 parts by weight of an oligosaccharide (B1) and 0.5 to 100 parts by weight of a water-soluble plasticizing component (B2) for plasticizing the oligosaccharide. The oligosaccharide (B1) may comprise a tetrasaccharide. The plasticizing component (B2) may comprise a saccharide or a sugar alcohol. Use of the dispersed composition ensures to form a shaped article having a given shape industrially with advantage even in the case of using a wide variety of resin components.
