摘要: A cassette for holding fluid path components for a fluid injector may include a body defining at least one feature for holding at least one fluid path component for the fluid injector; and a connecting member for removably connecting the body of the cassette to the fluid injector, the connecting member operatively connected to the body, wherein the connecting member comprises at least one pivotable connecting feature protruding from the body, and wherein each of the at least one pivotable connecting feature is configured for removably connecting to a corresponding connecting feature receiver on the fluid injector such that the body is pivotally movable relative to the fluid injector between a first, unlatched position and a second, latched position in which the at least one fluid path component on the body of the cassette is positioned for operative connection to a corresponding feature of the fluid injector.

摘要: Described is a large volume parenteral (LVP) infusion device system including a cassette and a pump. The system can include means for sensing pressure in a pump having a symmetric or matched, parallel dual chamber pumping mechanism and an attached cassette. The system can include a cassette having dual pumping chambers and a distal fitment, the distal fitment having an outlet port configured for attachment to tubing for infusion administration and being disposed on a distal end of the cassette, the distal fitment further including opposing cutouts. The system can also an air in line sensor, the AIL sensor configured to bracket the distal fitment at the position of the cutout when the cassette is loaded on the pump. The cassette can be mechanically coupled to the pump. The cassette can include a user actionable flow stop. The system can be configured for cassette misload protection.

摘要: To detect air in a fluid delivery line of an infusion system, infusion fluid is pumped through a fluid delivery line adjacent to at least one sensor. A signal is transmitted and received using the at least one sensor into and from the fluid delivery line. The at least one sensor is operated, using at least one processor, at a modified frequency which is different than a resonant frequency of the at least one sensor to reduce an amplitude of an output of the signal transmitted from the at least one sensor to a level which is lower than a saturation level of the analog-to-digital converter to avoid over-saturating the analog-to-digital converter. The signal received by the at least one sensor is converted from analog to digital using an analog-to-digital converter. The at least one processor determines whether air is in the fluid delivery line based on the converted digital signal.

The system also includes a stopper member disposed in the syringe interior. The system further includes a plunger member coupled to the stopper member. The plunger member includes a rotatable member configured to insert the stopper member distally in the syringe interior relative to the syringe body with rotation of the rotatable member. The plunger member further includes a proximal portion proximal of the rotatable member configured to be moved distally to also insert the stopper member distally in the syringe interior relative to the syringe body to eject about microliters of fluid from the syringe interior.

In some embodiments, the bubble trap is configured to trap gas (e.g., air) that flows into the bubble trap from a fluid line. In some embodiments, the bubble trap includes an inlet and an outlet and a chamber between the inlet and the outlet. For example, in some embodiments, the bubble trap is configured to inhibit gas from flowing into the outlet once gas flows into the chamber from the inlet. In some embodiments, the bubble trap is in fluid communication with a source container, a destination container, and/or a patient.

摘要: Various systems and methods for detecting air in a chamber of an infusion system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a determination is made that air is contained in the chamber on the basis of a change in the average force exerted against the plunger utilizing a derivative spike for event detection and a systematic reduction in the average force to confirm the nature of the change. In another embodiment, a determination is made that the chamber contains air when a difference between the current force profile and a baseline force profile crosses a threshold. In an additional embodiment, a force profile is classified as being an air force profile or a liquid force profile based on extracted features of the force profile.

摘要: A fluid flow system and a method for detecting air bubble and liquid are provided. The fluid flow system comprises a force sensor configured to monitor at least one of an air bubble or an occlusion in a flow tube. The fluid flow system comprises a controller to execute the method. The controller is configured to monitor an output signal of a force sensor of the fluid flow system, and the output signal comprises an Alternating Current (AC) component and a Direct Current (DC) component, and detect a change in the output signal to a new output signal based on a number of transitions to the new output signal, and a time duration of the new output signal. The controller compares the change in the output signal with one of a predefined number of transitions or a predefined time and determines a new threshold when the change in the output signal exceeds one of the predefined number of transitions or the predefined time.
