Some embodiments provide odor impressions in an extended reality (XR) environment (e.g., virtual reality (VR) and/or augmented reality (AR)). The system determines spatial characteristics of an odor impression that is to be generated in the XR environment. The system generates one or more commands for generating the odor impression based on the spatial characteristics. The system transmits the command(s) to a controller for execution. The controller may control dispersal of scented media to generate the odor impression.

摘要: A method for generating mark information in a virtual environment includes displaying a target-perspective picture showing the virtual environment, a sight bead pointing to an aiming position, and receiving a mark operation triggered on a mark control interface. The method further includes, in response to receiving the mark operation, generating, according to the received mark operation, mark information on a virtual object to which the aiming position points. The virtual object on which the mark information is generated is a movable object, a virtual prop, a virtual building, or a virtual landscape object in the virtual environment. The generated mark information is visible at a position of the virtual object in the virtual environment to one or more teammates of the virtual character.

摘要: An example method of simulating dribbling ball behavior in interactive videogames includes: determining, a current spatial position of a simulated ball rolling on a surface of a simulated terrain; determining, based on a slope of the surface of the simulated terrain, a likelihood of ball dribbling; identifying a segment of a path of the simulated ball over the surface from the current spatial position of the simulated ball, such that a dribbling criterion based on the likelihood of ball dribbling is satisfied on the segment of the path; determining, based on a speed of the simulated ball, a dribble-simulating surface angle adjustment range; choosing a dribble-simulating surface angle adjustment value from the dribble-simulating surface angle adjustment range; adjusting, based on the dribble-simulating surface angle adjustment value, a surface normal of a segment of the surface on the path; and determining, based on the adjusted surface normal, a next spatial position of the simulated ball.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a player-tracking video game editor used to modify a three-dimensional virtual game space corresponding to a song. In some implementations, the editor can be used to control lighting effects for multiple lights in the virtual game space, without having to change each light individually. In some implementations, the editor can be used to add arcs (i.e., lines between two blocks intended to emphasize long sounds) and/or chains (i.e., multiple digital targets between two blocks causing multiple haptics effects) in the virtual game space corresponding to the song. In some implementations, the editor can provide a beats-per-minute (BPM) tool that can visualize an audio signal of a song for easy identification of beats. In some implementations, the editor can provide a real-time preview of modifications to the virtual game space, without requiring execution of the video game outside of the editor.

The client computer system may be configured to perform runtime construction of the target three-dimensional model based on the stored meshes and/or textures, and the target model may be used to render one or more objects within a virtual scene. Generating the three-dimensional virtual scene may comprise constructing individual objects within the virtual scene, with at least one of appearance, size, and position being randomized.
