摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus, system, and method, by which a plentiful supply of carbon dioxide may be provided to a fuel-conversion process operated in the deep sea far from shore thereby permitting a conversion of electrolysis-generated hydrogen gas into a carbonaceous liquid fuel. Because the cost and complexity of storing and transporting liquid fuels by ship is substantially simpler and less costly than is transporting gases, the present invention is expected to promote the extraction and distribution of energy harvested from the deep sea by permitting it to be accomplished with reasonable logistical complexity and at a reasonable and low cost.

摘要: Spent catalyst (500) is removed from process microchannels (310) of a Fischer-Tropsch reactor by directing a jet of air (4) from an air knife (1) through slots of a protecting member (2). The air knife is traversed across successive rows of process microchannels (310) in direction A. The spacer member (2) protects an internal microchannel architecture (315) of the process microchannels against damage by the air jet (4) which may approach or exceed sonic velocity as it is directed into the process microchannels.

摘要: A monolith-type reactor includes a porous support body, a plurality of first cells through which a raw material gas flows, a plurality of second cells through which the sweep gas flows, separation membranes, and a catalyst. The first cells pass through the porous support body in a first direction. The second cells extend in the porous support body in the first direction. The separate membranes are respectively formed on inner peripheral surfaces of the first cells and permeable to a product of the conversion reaction. The catalyst is arranged inside the separation membranes, and promotes the conversion reaction. In a cross section taken along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, the average cross-sectional area of the first cells is larger than the average cross-sectional area of the second cells.

摘要: A process for preparation of an ethylene polymer in a gas-phase polymerization unit comprising a gas-phase polymerization reactor by homopolymerizing ethylene or copolymerizing ethylene and one or more C4-C12-1-alkenes in a reaction gas made from or containing propane as polymerization diluent in the presence of a pre-activated polymerization catalyst, wherein a purified propane feed stream made from or containing at least 99 mol % propane and from 0.1 to 100 ppm mol propylene is fed to the gas-phase polymerization unit.

When the gas is supplied from the base end opening portion, a ratio (Q1a/Q1b) of a flow rate (Q1a) of the gas discharged from the tip opening portion(s) and a flow rate (Q1b) of the gas discharged from the side hole(s) is 0.05 to 0.7.

摘要: A multi-stage process for the production of a Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil compliant with ISO 8217: 2017 as a Table 2 residual marine fuel from a high sulfur Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil compliant with ISO 8217: 2017 as a Table 2 residual marine fuel except for the sulfur level, involving hydrotreating under reactive distillation conditions in a Reaction System composed of one or more reaction vessels. The reactive distillation conditions allow more than 75% by mass of the Process Mixture to exit the bottom of the reaction vessel as Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil. The Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil has a maximum sulfur content (ISO 14596 or ISO 8754) less than 0.5 mass %. A process plant for conducting the process for conducting the process is disclosed.
