    摘要: A multiple natural frequency coupling apparatus for connecting a rotatable driving member to a rotatable driven member of a drive line. The coupling apparatus of the present invention provides a substantially cylindrical housing having a longitudinal axis with a substantially cylindrical outer shaft coaxially aligned with and connected to the housing. A substantially cylindrical inner shaft is coaxially aligned with the outer shaft and the housing. A substantially cylindrical chuck housing is coaxially aligned with the housing, the outer shaft, and the inner shaft wherein the fluid chuck housing is connected to the inner shaft. A substantially cylindrical collapsible sleeve is coaxially aligned with and between the fluid chuck housing and the outer shaft, wherein the collapsible sleeve may move between a non-actuated position, wherein the collapsible sleeve does not engage the outer shaft thereby providing the coupling apparatus with a first torsional stiffness corresponding to a first natural frequency, and an actuated position, wherein the collapsible sleeve engages the outer shaft thereby providing the coupling apparatus with a second torsional stiffness corresponding to a second natural frequency.

    摘要: Provided are devices and methods to minimize drag caused by abrasion powder between clutch plates and to prevent a faulty engagement or release of a dry clutch. A hybrid driving force transmission device is provided, wherein a multi-plate dry clutch is arranged in a sealed space and used for connecting/disconnecting transmission of a driving force is provided with drive plates, driven plates, friction facings, and a housing cover. The drive plates are splined to a clutch hub, and have, in the sections thereof that are splined to the clutch hub, vent holes for channeling the air flowing in the axial direction. The driven plates are splined to a clutch drum. The housing cover has an external air intake hole for drawing external air into the sealed space, and an external air discharge hole for discharging the airflow from the sealed space to the outside.

    摘要: A method and a device for controlling an automatic or automated clutch (4) of a vehicle, by a pressure fluid drive actuator (6) whereby the waypoint of a part (piston rod 12), connected with the drive actuator (6), is captured via a displacement sensor (28) and entered, as a control parameter, into a clutch control interacting with the vehicle control system (26). Provision is made for a diversified redundancy by use of a pressure sensor (30) measuring the fluid pressure in the drive actuator (6). The pressure sensor (30) monitors and stores the pressure in the drive actuator (6) and pressure changes, when engaging or disengaging the clutch, as a curve in the vehicle control system (26). Hereby, the level of engagement of the clutch is represented by the waypoint of drive actuator (6) by the pressure in the drive actuator (6) so that, if there is a malfunction in the displacement sensor (28), an emergency drive function is maintained.

    摘要: A torsional spring system is provided and is made from a single wire having a first end and a second end, and being wound to define a plurality of coil sections each separated from one another by a plurality of torsion arms. The first and second ends of the wire are joined to one another such that the plurality of coil sections and the plurality of torsion arms combine to form a loop. The torsion spring of the present invention can be utilized as a return spring in a clutch system for reducing the cost of the overall assembly. In addition, the torsion spring of the present invention also provides added functionality by being capable of simultaneously counteracting any combination of axial, radial, and rotational forces.
