Therefore, the vehicle control system 1 and the vehicle control device 9 have an effect of being able to suppress the vehicle behavior not intended by the driver from occurring after the collision.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Kraftfahrzeugs während des Betriebs eines vollautomatischen, zur fahrerunabhängigen Fahrzeugführung ausgebildeten Fahrerassistenzsystems mittels einer Steuereinheit, die bei Betrieb dieses Fahrerassistenzsystems eine Antriebseinheit und/oder Bremseinheit derart ansteuert, dass das Kraftfahrzeug einen vorgegebenen Abstand zu einem als Zielobjekt detektierten Vorderfahrzeug einhält, und das die Aktuatorik eines Lenksystems derart ansteuert, dass das Kraftfahrzeug innerhalb der erkannten, eigenen Fahrspur gehalten wird. Erfindungsgemäß wird bei einem Verlassen der erkannten, eigenen Fahrspur des als Zielobjekt detektierten Vorderfahrzeugs und fehlendem neuen vorausfahrenden Vorderfahrzeug ein Bremseingriff vorgenommen.
