摘要: The present disclosure relates to a substrate containing passive NOx adsorption (PNA) materials for treatment of gases, and washcoats for use in preparing such a substrate. Also provided are methods of preparation of the PNA materials, as well as methods of preparation of the substrate containing the PNA materials. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a coated substrate containing PNA materials for PNA systems, useful in the treatment of exhaust gases. Also disclosed are exhaust treatment systems, and vehicles, such as diesel or gasoline vehicles, particularly light-duty diesel or gasoline vehicles, using catalytic converters and exhaust treatment systems using the coated substrates.

摘要: An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas includes an engine, an exhaust pipe, a first lean NOx trap (LNT) adapted to absorb nitrogen oxide (NOx) contained in the exhaust gas, to release the absorbed NOx, and to reduce the NOx contained in the exhaust gas or the released NOx or to generate ammonia (NH3), a second LNT adapted to absorb the NOx, to release the absorbed NOx, and to reduce the NOx contained in the exhaust gas or the released NOx or to generate the NH3, and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst adapted to temporarily absorb the NH3 and to reduce the NOx contained in the exhaust gas, wherein the second LNT is positioned such that an average temperature of the second LNT is lower than that of the first LNT by 50-150° C. based on an average temperature of the exhaust gas.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to micron-sized particle used for catalyzing and storing NOx gases, such as those found in vehicle exhaust emissions, washcoats employing micron-sized particle used for catalyzing and storing NOx gases, washcoat coated substrates, lean NOx trap (LNT) systems, and vehicles using such systems. Also provided are methods of preparing micron-sized particle used for catalyzing and storing NOx gases, as well as preparation of washcoats and coated substrates. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a lean NOx trapping materials, wherein the materials include a NOx catalytic component attached to a micron-sized carrier particle and a NOx storage component, as well as washcoats and coated substrates useful in the treatment of exhaust gases. In some embodiments, a portion of the NOx storage component is attached to the micron-sized carrier particle.

摘要: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a method for producing a NOx storage-reduction catalyst capable of inhibiting decreases in NOx purification performance following exposure to high temperatures. The present disclosure achieves the aforementioned object with a method for producing a NOx storage-reduction catalyst, comprising: (A) supporting potassium compound particles on catalyst support particles by using an potassium dispersed water containing the potassium compound particles, and (B) calcining the catalyst support particles supporting the potassium compound particles; wherein, the potassium compound particles are at least one type selected from the group consisting of oteracil potassium, potassium tetranitroacridone, potassium tetraphenylborate, and potassium tetranitrophenothiazine-9-oxide.

摘要: An intake air control device includes: an intake air flow channel that includes an air flow pipe furcated into multiple branch flow channels that communicate with the same combustion chamber; an intake air valve provided to the air flow pipe to adjust an opening degree of the air flow pipe in accordance with a rotation angle thereof; a swirl valve provided to any one of the multiple branch flow channels to adjust an opening degree of the branch flow channel in accordance with a rotation angle thereof; and a cam plate that is rotatable and has a first cam slot. The intake air valve has a first protrusion inserted in the first cam slot. The first cam slot has a first rotation section within which the first protrusion slides and rotates about the rotational shaft of the intake air valve in response to rotation of the cam plate.

摘要: There is provided an exhaust gas purification system including: a NOx storage-reduction catalyst that is provided in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine 10 to reduce and purify NOx in exhaust gas; a deterioration degree estimation module for estimating a degree of deterioration of the NOx storage-reduction catalyst; a NOx storage amount estimation module for estimating a NOx storage amount of the NOx storage-reduction catalyst; a regeneration control unit for starting a regeneration process in which a NOx storage capacity of the NOx storage-reduction catalyst is restored when a NOx storage amount that is estimated by the NOx storage amount estimation module reaches a predetermined storage amount threshold; and a storage amount threshold correction module for correcting the storage amount threshold based on the degree of deterioration that is estimated by the deterioration degree estimation module.

摘要: An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas passing through an exhaust pipe includes a catalytic converter disposed on the exhaust pipe. The catalytic converter is provided with a lean NOx trap (LNT) device, the LNT device having an LNT catalyst coated therein, and a catalyzed particulate filter (CPF), the CPF having a catalyst coated therein, and the LNT device and the CPF are sequentially disposed in the catalytic converter. The CPF includes at least one inlet channel extending in a longitudinal direction, the at least one inlet channel having a first end into which fluid flows and a second end which is blocked, at least one outlet channel extending in the longitudinal direction, the at least one outlet channel having a first end which is blocked and a second end through which the fluid flows out, at least one porous wall that defines a boundary between neighboring inlet and outlet channels and that extends in the longitudinal direction, and a support with the catalyst coating thereon, and the support is located within at least one among the at least one inlet channel and the at least one outlet channel.

摘要: An exhaust system for treating an exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The system comprises a modified lean NOx trap (LNT), a urea injection system, and an ammonia-selective catalytic reduction catalyst. The modified LNT comprises a first layer and a second layer. The first layer comprises a NOx adsorbent component and one or more platinum group metals. The second layer comprises a diesel oxidation catalyst zone and an NO oxidation zone. The diesel oxidation catalyst zone comprises a platinum group metal, a zeolite, and optionally an alkaline earth metal. The NO oxidation zone comprises a platinum group metal and a carrier. The modified LNT stores NOx at temperatures below about 200° C. and releases at temperatures above about 200° C. The modified LNT and a method of using the modified LNT are also disclosed.
