摘要: A DEF injector is configured to inject DEF into an exhaust system of a vehicle. A DEF pump includes an electric motor configured to drive a compression mechanism and pumps the DEF to the DEF injector. A pressure sensor is configured to measure a pressure of the DEF output from the DEF pump. A sampling module is configured to, based on a rotational position of an output shaft of the electric motor, selectively output samples of the pressure. A measurement module is configured to determine a measured pressure at the pressure sensor based on a present one of the samples and a last one of the samples output before the present one of the samples. A pump control module is configured to apply power from a power source to the electric motor based on a difference between the measured pressure and a target pressure.

摘要: A thermally integrated catalyst aftertreatment exhaust system includes a flow channel that directs diesel exhaust through a diesel oxidation catalyst unit that includes a diesel oxidation catalyst, by a doser that introduces DEF into the diesel exhaust, through a mixing chamber that includes a static metallic mixer coated with a DEF hydrolysis catalyst, and through an SCR unit that includes an SCR catalyst. The diesel oxidation catalyst converts a portion of diesel exhaust into water, carbon dioxide, or nitrogen dioxide. The DEF hydrolysis catalyst facilitates hydrolysis of the mixed DEF and diesel exhaust. The SCR catalyst facilitates reduction of NOx in the diesel exhaust. A first portion of the flow channel is in direct thermal contact with a second portion of the flow channel that houses the SCR unit such that heat from the diesel exhaust before the diesel exhaust reaches the doser is passed to the SCR unit.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for treatment of an exhaust stream, comprising nitrogen oxides. The method comprises a first oxidation of compounds comprising one or more of nitrogen, carbon and hydrogen in the exhaust stream; and a control of a first supply of a first additive to the exhaust stream to prevent an accumulation of soot exceeding a soot threshold value in a catalytic filter. This soot threshold value depends at least on operating conditions for the combustion engine, which impact a level of a flow for the exhaust stream. A first reduction of nitrogen oxides is performed using reduction characteristics of a catalytic coating in the catalytic filter and the supplied first additive. Soot particles are caught and oxidized. A control of a second supply of a second additive is performed, following which a second reduction of nitrogen oxides is performed using the first and/or the second additive in a reduction catalyst device.

摘要: An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas includes an engine, an exhaust pipe, a first lean NOx trap (LNT) adapted to absorb nitrogen oxide (NOx) contained in the exhaust gas, to release the absorbed NOx, and to reduce the NOx contained in the exhaust gas or the released NOx or to generate ammonia (NH3), a second LNT adapted to absorb the NOx, to release the absorbed NOx, and to reduce the NOx contained in the exhaust gas or the released NOx or to generate the NH3, and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst adapted to temporarily absorb the NH3 and to reduce the NOx contained in the exhaust gas, wherein the second LNT is positioned such that an average temperature of the second LNT is lower than that of the first LNT by 50-150° C. based on an average temperature of the exhaust gas.

摘要: The catalyst unit (1) for splitting a decontamination agent introduced into a containment for a decontamination process has at least one catalyst element (21). This catalyst element (21) first consists of a carrier material made of aluminum ceramics or activated carbon, and also of a catalytically active component in the form of nanoparticles, applied to the carrier material by means of chemical plating, and made of silver or silver oxide or of a silver and silver oxide mixture. The catalytically active component on the at least one catalyst element (21) is present in the range from 0.05 weight percent to 0.5 weight percent relative to the carrier material. The at least one catalyst element (21) has a catalytically effective surface in the range of up to 320 m2 per gram of used material, as a combination of carrier material plus applied catalytically active component. With the catalyst unit (1), an non-critical concentration of non-degraded decontamination agent of lower than 0.5 ppm, preferentially a maximum of 0.1 ppm can be achieved. The containment is configured in particular as an isolator, sluice or RABS (RestrictedAccess Barrier System), as well as being of a mobile and stationary type, such as means for transportation, and spaces for treatment, isolation and/or diagnosis of patients, as well as production spaces and laboratories.

摘要: Zeolite catalysts and systems and methods for preparing and using zeolite catalysts having the CHA crystal structure are disclosed. The catalysts can be used to remove nitrogen oxides from a gaseous medium across a broad temperature range and exhibit hydrothermal stable at high reaction temperatures. The zeolite catalysts include a zeolite carrier having a silica to alumina ratio from about 15:1 to about 256:1 and a copper to alumina ratio from about 0.25:1 to about 1:1.

摘要: Described is a selective catalytic reduction material comprising a spherical particle including an agglomeration of crystals of a molecular sieve. The catalyst is a crystalline material that is effective to catalyze the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in the presence of a reductant at temperatures between 200° C. and 600° C. A method for selectively reducing nitrogen oxides and an exhaust gas treatment system are also described.

摘要: An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas passing through an exhaust pipe includes a catalytic converter disposed on the exhaust pipe. The catalytic converter is provided with a lean NOx trap (LNT) device, the LNT device having an LNT catalyst coated therein, and a catalyzed particulate filter (CPF), the CPF having a catalyst coated therein, and the LNT device and the CPF are sequentially disposed in the catalytic converter. The CPF includes at least one inlet channel extending in a longitudinal direction, the at least one inlet channel having a first end into which fluid flows and a second end which is blocked, at least one outlet channel extending in the longitudinal direction, the at least one outlet channel having a first end which is blocked and a second end through which the fluid flows out, at least one porous wall that defines a boundary between neighboring inlet and outlet channels and that extends in the longitudinal direction, and a support with the catalyst coating thereon, and the support is located within at least one among the at least one inlet channel and the at least one outlet channel.
