摘要: Disclosed are a cyan ink containing a copper phthalocyanine dye which can realize images much less susceptible to deterioration upon exposure to visible light, a yellow or magenta ink, to be used with a cyan ink containing a copper phthalocyanine dye, capable of realizing color images much less susceptible to deterioration upon exposure to visible light, and an ink set comprising at least a cyan ink, a yellow ink, and a magenta ink and capable of realizing color images much less susceptible to deterioration upon exposure to visible light. The copper phthalocyanine dye undergoes color change and fading upon exposure to visible light. This is considered attributable to deterioration and decomposition of the dye by photo-oxidation or photo-reduction. Incorporation of an imidazole derivative and an antioxidant, a saccharide, or a compound represented by formula (I) or incorporation of a water-soluble organonickel compound into the ink can effectively prevent the color change and fading of the copper phthalocyanine dye. The addition of the above compounds to the cyan ink containing a copper phthalocyanine dye or the ink to be used with the cyan ink containing a copper phthalocyanine dye can provide inks which have high color development and vividness of single colors and have excellent lightfastness. Further, use of an ink set comprising this ink can provide color images which are vivid and highly fast to light even at a portion of a mixed color of this ink and an ink having a different hue.

摘要: This invention relates to a driving device for a vibration type actuator. In this device, since the characteristics of the actuator change depending on temperature and the like, control characteristics must be optimized. This invention is designed to determine a control gain based on the ratio of the change amount of the frequency of a driving signal that causes the speed change to the change amount of the speed when the driving speed changes a predetermined amount upon driving of the actuator, thereby performing appropriate control.

摘要: A magnetic head has a recording/reproducing element which is embedded in an insulation layer made of an AlO.sub.x thin film and a leading end of which is positioned at a medium opposed face. A high-hardness coating layer or a high-thermal conductivity coating layer made of diamond-like carbon or the like is disposed on a peripheral region of the medium opposed face, excluding the leading end of the recording/reproducing element and a region in the neighborhood thereof. Even in the case where the magnetic head is applied to a magnetic disk apparatus of contact recording/reproducing system, it is possible to greatly restrain wear of the leading end of the recording/reproducing element and the region in the neighborhood thereof. Further, the heat dissipation characteristic of the leading end of the recording/reproducing element can be improved greatly. The dishing of the leading end of the recording/reproducing element can be reduced to a great extent by so etching the peripheral region of the medium opposed face that the leading end of the recording/reproducing element is projected; forming the high-hardness coating layer on an etched region; and processing the projected region by wear in a final process.

摘要: When conference conditions are set by a conference sponsor, a conference sponsor agent inquires of schedule management agents of requested attendants about available time within a range of set dates, determines an optimum conference schedule on the basis of the available time of the individual requested attendants, sends to the conference sponsor the conference schedule for confirmation thereof, and sends a conference notification to the requested attendants. In order to permit an input value set by a user to have a range in accordance with the kind of parameter requiring the input value and conditions at that time, an input value acquiring element acquires an input value of a parameter necessary for a processing realized by an application element, the input value being set by the user by an input element. An allowable value determining element determines an allowable value to be added to the input value on the basis of information supplied from the application element and corresponding to the kind of the parameter and conditions at that time, and an allowable value adding element determines a different input value from the acquired input value by adding the allowable value to the acquired input value and delivers the acquired input value and the thus determined different input value, as input values of the parameter, to the application element.

摘要: A channel switching controller is applied to a communication network such as an ISDN. The network has a first information processor, an exchange, and a second information processor. The channel switching controller easily and speedily switches channels from one to another when a communication error occurs in the network. If communication between the first and second information processors fails, the first information processor notifies the exchange that a communication channel, terminal, or line (telephone number) that is presently being used will be switched to another. In response to the notification, the exchange holds the current call. The first information processor resumes communication through the newly selected communication channel, terminal, or line (telephone number), and the exchange releases the call, to continue the communication between the first and second information processors. The first information processor may notify the second information processor of the failure of the communication channel, terminal, or line (telephone number), to let the second information processor make a call accordingly.

摘要: A first velocity change value V1 is derived by integrating the deviation of a detected vehicle deceleration from a first deceleration reference value, e.g., 1 g, and a second velocity change value V2 is derived by integrating the deviation of the detected vehicle deceleration from a second deceleration reference value, e.g., 6 g. When the velocity change values V1 and V2 have reached a first velocity threshold value TH1 and a second velocity threshold value TH2, respectively, an inflator is ignited to make it discharge compressed gas into an air bag. When the time t elapsed since the first velocity change value V1 has become positive is within a first time reference value t1 and the first velocity change value V1 does not reach the first velocity threshold value TH1, a second velocity threshold value TH2 is Updated to become TH3. The second velocity threshold value TH3 thus updated is greater than the preceding threshold value TH2. In updating the second velocity threshold value TH2, the ratio of the first velocity change value V1 to the second velocity change value V2 is calculated. When this ratio has satisfied a predetermined condition K, the second velocity threshold value TH2 is updated.
