Abstract: The present invention provides a method for color register spraying of a hub, which includes machining and turning for glossy finish after spraying a black paint on the surface of a hub, and then spraying a color transparent paint onto the hub. The method provided by the invention achieves a spraying-based color register effect through spraying of the color transparent paint, which greatly improves the production efficiency and is available for batch production.

Abstract: When a slurry 41 obtained by dispersing a rare-earth-compound powder in a solvent is applied to sintered magnet bodies 1, and dried to remove the solvent in the slurry and cause the surfaces of the sintered magnet bodies to be coated with the powder, and the sintered magnet bodies coated with the powder are heat treated to cause the rare-earth element to be absorbed by the sintered magnet bodies, the sintered magnet bodies having had the slurry applied thereto are dried by being irradiated with near infrared radiation having a wavelength of 0.8-5 μm, to remove the solvent in the slurry, and cause the surfaces of the sintered magnet bodies to be coated with the powder. As a result, the rare-earth-compound powder can be uniformly and efficiently applied to the surfaces of the sintered magnet bodies.

Abstract: A balloon coating method for forming a coating layer containing a water-insoluble drug on an outer surface of a balloon of a balloon catheter. The method includes moving a drive shaft relative to at least one of a hub of the balloon catheter and an interlocking member. The drive shaft is configured to rotate the balloon catheter about an axis of the balloon. The method fixing the drive shaft to the proximal end of the hub or to the opening of the interlocking member by frictional force, and applying a coating solution containing the drug to the outer surface of the balloon from a dispensing tube while gradually moving the dispensing tube in the axial direction and simultaneously rotating the drive shaft to rotate the balloon catheter around the axis of the balloon catheter.

Abstract: Methods and systems for deposition of blended polymer films are disclosed. According to an aspect a method of producing a film on a substrate includes combining a guest material, a host matrix, and a solvent having one or more hydroxyl (O—H) bonds to form a target emulsion. The method also includes exposing the target emulsion to an infrared source that is tuned to an absorption peak in the host matrix that is reduced in or absent from the guest material thereby desorbing the host matrix from the target emulsion and lifting the guest material from the surface of the target emulsion. The target emulsion and the substrate are oriented with respect to each other such that the lifted guest material is deposited as a film upon the substrate.

Abstract: A balloon catheter that includes an elongated main body, a balloon connected to the elongated main body, and a base layer on the outer surface of the balloon. The base layer includes a water-soluble low-molecular weight compound. The balloon catheter also includes a plurality of elongate bodies extending radially away from the outer surface of the balloon. The elongate bodies are crystals of a water-insoluble drug. The elongate bodies each possesses an independent longitudinal axis. At least part of at least some of the elongate bodies are located in the interior of the base layer on the outer surface of the balloon.

Abstract: A balloon catheter that includes an elongated main body extending in an axial direction and a balloon connected to the distal portion of the elongated main body. The balloon includes an interior and is inflatable and deflatable. The balloon catheter also includes a plurality of elongate bodies extending radially away from the outer surface of the balloon. The elongate bodies are crystals of a water-insoluble drug. The elongate bodies each possess an independent longitudinal axis. Each of the elongate bodies includes a base portion at the proximal end of the elongate body. A plurality of elongate body proximal portions extend radially inwardly from the base portion of each of the elongate bodies toward the interior of the balloon. The elongate body proximal portions are continuous extensions of the crystal of the water-insoluble drug.

Abstract: A method for creating a coating onto a conduit is provided. The method includes rotating the conduit while injecting a controlled amount of slurry onto the surface of an inner diameter of the conduit through a nozzle that is retracted from out of the conduit at a controlled speed. The method offers improved reproducibility and repeatability of coating properties in comparison to conventional coating methods.
