Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to guidance rule-based compliance management. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an integrated technology catalog system (“system”) can provide an interface through which a technology catalog can be accessed to view a technology product and evaluate the technology product in a given context. The system can receive, via the interface, a request to evaluate the technology product in the given context. In response to the request, the system can identify whether at least one guidance rule is applicable to the technology product in the given context. In response to identifying that the at least one guidance rule is applicable to the technology product in the given context, the system can generate a report for the technology product. The report can include all applicable guidance rules for the technology product. The system can output the report.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes obtaining, by a processing system, real-time information regarding a state of a communication network and capabilities of the communication network; selecting a routing for delivering a message to user equipment (UE) coupled to the network, in accordance with the real-time information; and configuring a messaging path according to the routing. The method further includes detecting whether the UE is in a non-active state and if so, providing a notification on a user plane data path of the communication network; the UE on returning to an active state thus is notified that the message is available via the user plane data path. If the UE on returning to the active state is unable to receive the message via the user plane data path, the message is then provided on a control plane signaling path. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a coherence block for each user equipment (UE) of a plurality of UEs being served by the first cell, resulting in a plurality of coherence blocks, responsive to the determining, identifying a smallest coherence block from the plurality of coherence blocks, identifying a pilot sequence length based on the smallest coherence block, determining a plurality of orthogonal pilot sequences based on the identifying the pilot sequence length, designating, from the plurality of orthogonal pilot sequences, a first group of orthogonal pilot sequences for use in the first cell, and distributing, to each neighboring cell of a plurality of neighboring cells adjacent to the first cell, a respective group of orthogonal pilot sequences from a remainder of the plurality of orthogonal pilot sequences, to prevent pilot contamination between the first cell and the plurality of neighboring cells. Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to event-based wireless emergency alerts (“WEAs”). According to one aspect disclosed herein, a WEA-capable device can receive an event-based wireless emergency alert that includes an event code and alert content. The WEA-capable device can parse the event code from the event-based WEA. The WEA-capable device can determine, via execution of an event-based WEA function, a WEA format based upon the event code. The WEA-capable device can then output the alert content in the WEA format. In some embodiments, the event code identifies a weather-related emergency event (e.g., a hurricane or tornado warning). In other embodiments, the event code identifies a non-weather-related emergency event (e.g., a child abduction alert). The WEA format can be an event-specific spoken language, an event-specific symbol, an event-specific haptic feedback, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to detecting reflective surfaces for use reflecting a signal from access point equipment to destination equipment in advanced networks, e.g., at least a fifth generation (5G) network. For example, a method described herein can include receiving a request to establish a reflective path usable to facilitate a connection between user equipment and access point equipment, resulting in reflected path information corresponding to the reflective path. The method can further include, based on the reflected path information, selecting a location for a reflective surface to facilitate the connection by the access point equipment. The method can further include, facilitating communicating the reflected path information to the access point equipment.
