    摘要: An electroabsorption (EA) duplexer in which an optical amplifier, a photodetector, and an optical modulator are monolithically integrated to obtain a high radio frequency (RF) gain in radio-over fiber (RoF) link optical transmission technology is provided. The EA duplexer includes a substrate, a separation area, an optical detection/modulation unit, and an optical amplification unit. The separation area includes a first epitaxial layer formed of at least one material layer on the substrate. The first epitaxial layer functions as a first optical waveguide. The optical detection/modulation unit includes a second epitaxial layer formed of at least one material layer on the first epitaxial layer to detect and modulate an optical signal. The second epitaxial layer functions as a second optical waveguide. The optical amplification unit includes the second optical waveguide and a third epitaxial layer formed of at least one material layer on the second epitaxial layer to amplify an optical signal. The third epitaxial layer functions as a third optical waveguide. The optical amplification unit is electrically separated from the optical detection/modulation unit by the separation area and is disposed on at least one side of the optical detection/modulation unit.

    摘要: Disclosed is a multi-target manipulator for a pulsed laser deposition apparatus. The multi-target manipulator for a pulsed laser deposition apparatus grows a thin film having both a high quality and a repeatability, automatizes a deposition apparatus, and economically performs a pulsed laser deposition, when a thin film is grown by using a pulsed laser deposition apparatus. The multi-target manipulator for a pulsed laser deposition apparatus includes: a driving power providing member which includes a stepping motor and a motion feedthrough thereby providing a rotation driving power to the target disk driving shaft and the target driving motor shaft; a driving power transmission and head supporting member, thereby transmitting a rotation driving power necessary for rotating both the target disk provided from the driving power providing member and the target and supporting the head of the target manipulator; and a head portion, thereby performing rotations of the target disk and the target so as to locate a target material on the focal point of the laser beam.

The method may include forming a lower electrode on a substrate, forming a light absorption layer on the lower electrode, forming a buffer layer on the light absorption layer, and forming a window layer on the buffer layer. The window layer may include an intrinsic layer and the transparent electrode which have electric characteristics different from each other, respectively. The intrinsic layer and the transparent electrode may be formed by a sputtering process using a single target formed of metal oxide doped with impurities.

    摘要: Provided is a reflection-type optical modulation module. According to the reflection-type optical modulation module, an anti-reflective thin film is formed on the optical input/output side surface of a waveguide to reduce optical coupling loss, and also a high-reflective thin film is formed on the opposite side surface to feed back a modulated optical signal. Thus, even when the length of an absorption layer is shortened, a sufficient optical path length is available, and it is possible to obtain a sufficient extinction ratio. Since the optical path length is sufficiently long despite a reduction in the length of the device, capacitance is reduced, and high-speed operation is enabled. In addition, only one lensed optical fiber for optical input and output is used, and thus it is possible to reduce production cost and the number of installation processes. Furthermore, a small-sized and low-priced optical amplifier, instead of an external amplifier which is high priced and has a large volume, is integrated with an optical modulator so that production cost can be further reduced.
