Abstract: An implant delivery system includes an outer sheath and a shaft. An outer sheath distal end has an implant holding pod. An implant holding pod lumen extends between an implant holding pod proximal opening and an implant holding pod open tip. The implant holding pod lumen is for selectively holding an implant therein. An implant holding pod open slit extends at least partially between the implant holding pod open tip and an implant holding pod proximal end. A shaft distal end has an implant delivery element. At least one of a shaft body and the implant delivery element has a shaft open slit. When the shaft is operably joined to the outer sheath, at least a portion of the shaft open slit is selectively laterally spaced from the implant holding pod open slit.

Abstract: System and methods are disclosed to facilitate intra-operative procedures and planning. A method can include storing tracking data in memory, the tracking data being generated by a tracking system to represent a location of an object in a tracking coordinate system of the tracking system. The method can also include storing a patient-specific implicit model in memory, the patient-specific implicit model being generated based on image data acquired for the patient to define geometry of an anatomical structure of the patient. The method can also include registering the tracking data and the patient-specific implicit model in a common three-dimensional coordinate system. The method can also include generating an output visualization representing a location of the object relative to the geometry of the anatomical structure of the patient in the common coordinate system.

Abstract: A cryo-fixation lead extraction device includes a lead extraction catheter having longitudinally spaced proximal and distal catheter ends and an elongate catheter lumen. A liner has longitudinally spaced proximal and distal liner ends and an elongate liner lumen. The liner lumen is configured to selectively accept at least part of a lead being extracted longitudinally therethrough. At least a portion of the liner is located circumferentially within and/or circumferentially surrounding the catheter lumen. At least one cryogen supply line extends longitudinally through at least a portion of the liner lumen. The cryogen supply line is configured to place a cryogen fluid source into fluid communication with the distal liner end. The cryogen supply line is configured to selectively generate a patient tissue cooled zone adjacent the distal catheter end. A method of cryo-fixation lead extraction is also provided.

Abstract: Provided herein are compositions, systems, and methods for treating a disease, such as kidney and/or cardiovascular disease, with an agent that reduces the production of trimethylamine (TMA) or trimethylamine-n-oxide (TMAO) in a subject. In certain embodiments, the agent is: i) 3,3-dimethyl-1-butanol (DMB) or a DMB derivative or related compound, ii) acetylsalicylic acid or derivative thereof (e.g., with an enteric coating for delivery to the colon and/or cecum); iii) a flavin monooxygenase 3 (FMO3) inhibitor; iv) a gut TMA lyase inhibitor; v) an antibiotic or antimicrobial; vi) a probiotic or prebiotic; vii) an antiplatelet agent; or viii) a TMA and/or TMAO sequestering agent.

Abstract: A portable, ex vivo perfusion system for preserving detached biological tissue includes a receptacle for housing the tissue in a normothermic environment, a perfusion core to pump perfusate through the tissue via at least one conduit, at least one detection device to measure parameters during perfusion, and at least one parameter control device to maintain the parameter in a predetermined threshold. The system also include a controller with instructions to receive the measured parameters, compare the parameters to predetermined thresholds, and when the parameters are outside the thresholds change an output of the at least one parameter control device to get the parameters within the threshold and alert a user that parameters were outside the thresholds.

Abstract: Tissue ligation systems and methods are provides to mechanically strangulate abnormal or undesirable tissue. Tissue ligation systems include a multi-lumen catheter having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of a standard endoscope channel such that the catheter can be inserted into the endoscope. Tissue ligation systems also include a ligation apparatus with an expandable hood disposed at the distal end of the catheter. A suture extends through a lumen of the catheter and has a distal loop portion that can strangulate tissue.

Abstract: Provided herein are compositions, systems, and methods treating latent viral infection with an NMD inhibitor (e.g. to reactive the latent virus to lytic virus), in combination with an anti-viral agent. In certain embodiments, the latent viral infection is caused by EBV or KSHV. In other embodiments, cancer (e.g., caused by the virus) is treated by further administering an anti-cancer agent, such as an immunomodulatory agent.
