摘要: The present invention is a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, wherein light having an exposure energy is irradiated on the surface of a photo-sensitive resin layer having a predetermined film thickness, and a distribution of thermal deformation characteristics in the thickness direction (or the plane direction) of the photo-sensitive resin layer is formed, then heat treatment is performed to form random undulation (micro-grooves or micro-wrinkles) on the surface of the photo-sensitive resin layer.

摘要: Sheets for protecting paint films of automobiles which can adhere with no wrinkle to paint films of automobiles and cover the same, even in curved surface portions, at a high reliability while achieving excellent protection function to colliding matters, etc. (i.e., the inherent function of protecting sheets) and being easily peeled and removed after completion of the aimed protection, thus preventing the permeation of rainwater, etc. and protecting the paint films of automobiles from being damaged by denaturation, etc. Such a sheet for protecting paint films of automobiles comprises a support (1) comprising a polymer film (12) having a nonwoven fabric (11) laminated on one or both surfaces thereof, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (2) formed on one surface of the polymer film, wherein the non-woven fabric has a basic weight of 5 to 100 g/m2.

摘要: The invention relates to a backlight unit for liquid crystal displays, etc.; and its object is to provide a backlight unit not involving the problem that the emitted light leaks out of the optical waveguide, even when the space around the cold-cathode tubes in the light source unit for it is filled with a liquid of which the refractive index is nearly the same as that of the glass material that forms the outer wall of the cold-cathode tubes. The backlight unit comprises a housing 6 which houses cold-cathode tubes 2, 4 therein and of which the inner surface is coated with a light reflector 10; a transparent liquid filled in the housing 6; and an optical waveguide 1 made of a transparent substance and having a light-emitting surface S. The reflective surface of the light reflector 10 has a cross-section profile of X-T-U-V-W-Y, on which the light emitted by the cold-cathode tubes 2, 4 is reflected, and the thus-reflected light is led to the light-emitting surface S of the optical waveguide 1 at an incident angle not smaller than the critical angle to the surface S.

摘要: A process for fabricating a semiconductor device including MOS transistors of low breakdown voltage type and of high breakdown voltage type provided on a semiconductor substrate, the MOS transistor of high breakdown voltage type being operative at a higher voltage than the MOS transistor of low breakdown voltage type and having drift diffusion regions, the process comprises the steps of: forming a LOCOS oxide film on the semiconductor substrate; and performing ion implantation with the use of a single mask having openings respectively defining on the substrate a first region for formation of a first conductivity type MOS transistor of low breakdown voltage type, a second region in which the LOCOS oxide film is formed for isolation of a first conductivity type MOS transistor of high breakdown voltage type, and a third region for formation of a drift diffusion region of a second conductivity type MOS transistor of high breakdown voltage type, so that the first and third regions each have at least two concentration peaks of implanted ions at different depths in the semiconductor substrate, and the second region has a concentration peak of implanted ions in the vicinity of an interface between the LOCOS oxide film and the semiconductor substrate.

Each of the burners can be controlled by a proportional combustion control method and/or an intermittent combustion control method. It is possible to combine these functions within a microcomputer system so as to use each or both burners selectively, or both together, so that it is possible to select water from a wide range of hot water temperatures or to select a target temperature.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a display device in which the color purity of red display can be improved and also to provide an electric apparatus using the same. A controller (19) of the display device is provided with an illumination control part (22) that turns on a light-emitting diode (first light source) (9C) to emit a cyan light during the former half of one frame time period and turns on a light-emitting diode (second light source) (9M) to emit a magenta light during the latter half of the one frame time period. In addition, a video signal converting part (21b) is provided to a panel control part (display control part) 21. The video signal converting part 21b converts an inputted video signal to video signals for the former half and the latter half of the one frame time period, on the basis of the inputted video signal and the colors of the lights in the former half and the latter half of the one frame time period. The present invention is applicable to, for example, a television receiver having a transmission type liquid crystal display device.
