    摘要: A spark ignition reciprocatory internal combustion engine with dual induction system is provided in which at low and intermediate loads when only a primary throttle valve within a primary induction system opens, a primary intake port passage within a cylinder head will direct fluid charge into a combustion chamber in a cylinder to swirl therein as a primary intake valve opens, while, at high loads when a secondary throttle valve within a secondary induction system opens also, a secondary intake port passage within the cylinder head will direct fluid charge into the combustion chamber in the cylinder in such a direction as to impede and reduce the swirling motion of the fluid charge from the primary intake port passage as a secondary intake valve opens, thereby to maintain the volumetric efficiency of the engine at a sufficiently high level. The secondary intake valve is operated to open in synchronization with the opening of the primary intake valve. The entire combustion chamber is formed by the clearance volume between the upper surface of a piston and the lower surface of the cylinder head and by a cavity formed in the cylinder head.

    摘要: The invention relates to a swirl-chamber Diesel engine. A swirl-chamber Diesel engine is disclosed which has a main combustion chamber, a swirl chamber, and a communicating passage for connecting them. The problem encountered is that, when the engine runs at low speeds, fuel droplets within the swirl chamber will gather and flow along the communicating passage into the main combustion chamber. To prevent this unfavorable fuel flow, a depression is formed within the swirl chamber to collect the fuel droplets. The depression is disposed adjacent to and communicating with the communicating passage via a rounded lip to provide an arrangement which will make it easy for the combustion gases flow to draw the collected fuel from the depression. Since the fuel is drawn from the depression by the combustion gases flow, carbonization of fuel on the depression wall will not take place.

    摘要: The invention provides a power transmission apparatus for vehicle which can realize a high torque transmission efficiency and a high reduction gear ratio of a reduction gear unit with a more compact structure, and a vehicle-driving electric machinery system using the power transmission apparatus for vehicle. The power transmission apparatus for vehicle comprises a motor, a reduction gear unit for decelerating power outputted from the motor, and a differential gear unit for distributing the power decelerated by the reduction gear unit to left and right wheels. The reduction gear unit is a reduction gear mechanism including a plurality of gears mounted over a shaft which is rotatably held by a housing in a fixed position. The reduction gear unit and the differential gear unit are arranged within an area in oppositely facing relation to an axial end surface of the motor.

    摘要: A running controller and an electric running control system for an electric vehicle, in which when a tire slip occurs during running of the vehicle, such as under driving, braking and turning, a motor output is controlled to always maximize the coefficient μ of road friction, thereby obtaining a maximum tire driving force and a maximum tire braking force. In the electric vehicle, wheels are driven and braked through control of electric driving apparatuss each including a motor. When slipping of any of the wheels is detected, ESC-CU executes powering and regenerative control of the motor to change, depending on road conditions, a target value to which a slip rate is to be converged. The ESC-CU calculates the coefficient μ of road friction based on a motor current and executes the powering and regenerative control of the motor such that the calculated coefficient μ of road friction is maintained in the vicinity of a maximum value thereof.
