摘要: Group of optic sensors (S) in a weft feeder, in particular for weaving looms, comprising one or more pairs of emitting sensors (E) and receiving sensors (R) arranged on a portion of the weft feeder (C) which extends laterally to the drum (T) of the weft feeder whereon the coils of the weft thread are wound, so as to form optic radiation going-paths from each of said emitting sensors (E) to a reflecting surface (9) provided on said drum (T) and optic radiation back-paths, from said reflecting surface (9) to corresponding receiving sensors (R), for detecting the presence/absence of a thread which crosses said paths. The optic sensors (E, R) are of the SMT type and are wired on a printed-circuit board (8) with an optic axis parallel to the plane of said board (8). A first group of total-reflection mirrors (V), one for each pair of emitting/receiving sensors (E, R), is inclined so as to deviate the optic radiation from the plane of the board (8) to a plane perpendicular to or inclined with respect to the same. A second group of partial-reflection mirrors (H), one for each pair of emitting/receiving sensors (E, R), is inclined so as to deviate the optic radiation in the same plane as board 8.

摘要: The invention relates to a sterilized liquid or semi-solid acid enteral composition comprising per 100 ml 9 to 20 g of non-hydrolysed globular proteins, fat and at least 100 mg of divalent metal cations and having a pH ranging between 3 and 5. The invention further relates to a method for preparing a composition according to the invention, comprising a step wherein at least the non-hydrolysed globular proteins are subjected to a direct steam injection (DSI) at specific holding values, such as a holding temperature of 100 to 140° C. during a holding time of about 0.5 to 10 seconds, followed by a homogenization step and a sterilization step The composition according to the invention has a reduced astringency and can be used for medical purposes, such as for stimulating muscle protein synthesis in a mammal, in particular for treating sarcopenia, and for specific groups of people, such as elderly and sportsman.

摘要: A process is described for producing adsorbates suitable for human or animal nutrition and also cosmetics applications in which a component (A) to be adsorbed is applied to a carrier (C) using at least one stabilizer (B), the mean particle size of the carrier (C) being at least 80 μm, with the proviso that, if the component (A) to be adsorbed is vitamin E, the mixture of (A) and (B) has an HLB value less than 7, and also with the proviso that if the component (A) to be adsorbed is an oil-soluble vitamin and the stabilizer (B) is a glyceride, the freezing point of the mixture of (A) and (B) is below or equal to 80° C. A description is also given of the use of the adsorbates which are thus obtainable.

摘要: Disclosed is describes a method of increasing bone strength and/or increasing bone resistance to bending and/or improving bone architecture and/or maintaining bone status in a human, comprising administering to said human a composition comprising a fat source, wherein said fat source is a triglyceride fat source comprising triglycerides with 15-55% palmitic acid moieties out of the total fatty acids, and wherein the level of palmitic acid moieties at the sn-2 position of the glycerol backbone is at least 30% (w/w) of total palmitic acid. Said method is particularly intended for subjects at risk of impaired bone strength. Further disclosed is said fat source, as well as food articles and a commercial package comprising the same.
