    摘要: To project measuring light with good reproducibility onto the measuring part of a measured object so that measurement conditions can always be constant. An optical measuring apparatus is equipped with a spectroscopic analyzer that detects the spectral intensity of the reflected light of measuring light projected onto a human hand. Spectroscopic analyzer moves in the direction" of the X-axis, Y axis, and Z axis, and around the Z axis by a moving mechanism. During the registration of the measuring part of the human hand, a CCD camera takes a picture of the human hand, and the operator selects a part having a feature from the pattern of the taken image. During the spectrometry, the CCD camera again takes a picture of the human hand. The optical measuring apparatus then detects the registered feature part on the currently taken image, moves spectroscopic analyzer by moving mechanism, and projects measuring light onto the registered feature part.

    摘要: A method and device for ultrasonically imaging a body that includes a movable ultrasonic transducer capable of imaging a scanline wherein the scanline is fixed in orientation and spatial position relative to the movable transducer. The device contains a means for sensing transducer position information wherein the sensing means is in communication with an ultrasound console. A computing means computes the spatial position and the orientation of each scanline as the transducer is moved. The scanlines are then presented as a complete image. Alternatively, an electromagnetic transmitter and receiving sensor determine the spatial orientation and position of each scanline in free space. The method of generating a two dimensional ultrasonic image is also disclosed.

    摘要: An external physiological sensor probe in which a transducer responsive to in vivo physiological signals is placed in an appropriate position on the body. The transducer is mounted in a housing to permit placement of the transducer next to the skin or in contact with the skin if necessary. A marker member or element is slideably mounted on the transducer housing and resiliently urged to a position distal of the transducer. The marker member acts as a handle and may be placed in contact with the body upon application of a certain predetermined force. The marker member produces an indication on the body as to the position of probe as well as its alignment thereby enabling its positioning in the exact same location at a remote time.

    摘要: A medical imaging probe (102) for contact with an imaging subject includes an indicium placement apparatus for, while the probe is in contact, selectively performing an instance of marking the subject so as to record a position of the probe. The device may further include a feed-back module for determining whether an orientation, with respect to a the mark, that currently exists for a medical imaging probe of the device meets a criterion of proximity to a predetermined orientation. Responsive to the determination that the criterion is met, a quantitative evaluation may be made automatically and without need for user intervention, vis live imaging via the probe, of a lesion that was, prior to the determination, specifically identified for the evaluation. Change, such as growth (116), in the lesion, like a brain lesion, may thereby be tracked over consistent sequential imaging acquisitions, such as through ultrasound.
