摘要: Provided is a method for preparing a latex composition, comprising providing an ethylene copolymer comprising copolymerized units of ethylene and copolymerized units of at least one polar comonomer; dissolving the ethylene copolymer with one or more latex monomers to prepare a solution; mixing the solution with water; optionally adding a surfactant or protectant colloid to form an aqueous emulsion; and polymerizing the latex monomer in the emulsion to form a latex composition comprising the ethylene copolymer and a latex polymer. Further provided are the emulsion polymerization product and the mini-emulsion polymerization product of at least one ethylene copolymer substantially dissolved in at least one latex monomer, such as an acrylic, styrene or vinyl monomer. Finally, formulated products comprising or produced from the emulsion or mini-emulsion polymerization product and articles comprising or produced from the formulated products are provided.

摘要: An adhesive composition, which exhibits excellent adhesion to base films made from polyimide resins and the like or copper foils, as well as superior electrical properties, and a laminate having an adhesive layer, which is low in warpage when the adhesive layer is in the B stage, and which is excellent in storage stability of the laminate, are provided. The adhesive composition includes a modified polyolefin-based resin and an epoxy resin, in which the modified polyolefin-based resin is a resin resulting from graft-modification of an unmodified olefin resin with a modifying agent containing an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof, wherein the content of the modified polyolefin-based resin is 50 parts by mass or more relative to 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the adhesive composition; the content of the epoxy resin is from 1 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the modified polyolefin-based resin; and the dielectric constant of a cured body of the adhesive is less than 2.5 as measured at a frequency of 1 GHz.

摘要: An aqueous resin composition that can provide excellent properties using a high molecular weight resin and less amount of surfactant, and also that does not require a complicated production procedure, is provided. The aqueous resin composition is obtained by heating and dissolving 100 parts by mass of acid-modified chlorinated polyolefin with an average molecular weight of 37,000 to 150,000 in the presence of 2 to 30 parts by weight of a surfactant, 10 to 50 parts by mass of a glycol ether-based compound that satisfies general formula (1) shown below, and 150 to 425 parts by mass of water, and then dispersing this with a basic compound that has been added at a ratio of 1 to 4 chemical equivalents per carboxyl group of the acid-modified chlorinated polyolefin. General Formula (1) C4H9—(OCH2CH2)n—OH n: an integer from 1 to 4.

The composition is a blend based on a polyethylene which determines the blend's favorable properties, which polyethylene itself can be used further in coating cables and for producing moldings, especially rotomoulded articles.
