    摘要: An apparatus for growing a crystal, using the cooler 10 surrounding the single crystal 8 for high speed pulling. The cooler 10 is prepared using a copper-based metal and is water cooled. The supporting arm 12 that supports the cooler 10 is prepared using stainless steel or the like, which is higher in mechanical strength than copper-based metals and is inferior in thermal conductivity, and is detachably connected to the cooler 10. Excessive cooling of the supporting arm 12 and disposition due to precipitation of silicon oxide are prevented, leading to improvement in disposition free pulling rate without the prevention of speed-up. The cost of manufacture of the cooler 10 is saved. The support strength of the cooler is improved.

    摘要: A downshift control determines whether a commanded downshift is a downshift oriented toward minimum shock or a downshift oriented toward responsiveness, based on inputs from various sensors. The oil pressure on the hydraulic servo which controls the releasing-side friction engagement element is controlled based on the determined downshift type (DT), so that the releasing-side friction engagement element is released in accordance with a selected one of a plurality of release patterns, i.e., release patterns corresponding to different downshift type indexes (Dt). The releasing speed of the releasing-side friction engagement element is changed in accordance with the downshift type. By properly determining the type of downshift, it becomes possible to realize a shift of a type in accordance with the driver's intention.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a computerized method for authenticating a financial account when making a purchase utilizes a merchant computer system which receives a purchase request from an account holder. The merchant computer system prepares transaction data that comprises account holder account data and authentication information. The transaction data is transmitted to a financial institution of the account holder. Subsequently, the merchant computer system receives the authentication information that was obtained by the account holder from the financial institution. The authentication information from the account holder is analyzed and future transactions are authenticated if the authentication information is correct.

The system further includes a database system (24) storing transaction records for a plurality of past electronic payment transactions, an evaluation engine (28) configured to access the database system (24) and evaluate a first set of stored transaction records to determine one or more characteristic values related to the first set, and a setting engine (26) configured to access the database system (24) and select a second set of stored transaction records in accordance with at least one of the one or more characteristic values, wherein the setting engine (26) is further configured to evaluate the selected second set of transaction records and set at least one attribute threshold value in at least one checking rule based on the evaluation of the second set of transaction records.
