摘要: In a digital camera having multiple optical systems, multiple image capturing elements are effectively driven to reduce power consumption. A digital camera has a first image capturing optical system having a lens and a first image sensor and a second image capturing optical system having a lens and a second image sensor. A controller and timing generator selects the image signal from the first image capturing optical system while controlling an operation or power of the second image sensor and a clock driver to be OFF when the zoom position falls within a first zoom range. When the zoom position falls within a second zoom range, the image signal from the second image capturing optical system is selected while an operation or power of the first image sensor and a clock driver is controlled to be OFF. An operation or power of the image capturing optical system which is not selected is stopped so that power consumption is reduced.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a cylindrical body, comprising the step of forming the cylindrical body by bending a plate-like work having first projected finger to fourth projected finger at four corned parts and allowing the end faces thereof to abut on each other, wherein the main surface of the cylindrical body on the side where sags are present is formed in an outer peripheral wall surface and the rear surface thereof on the side where the burrs are present is formed in an inner peripheral wall surface, and a first projected part is formed of the first projected finger and the third projected finger and a second projected part is formed of the second projected finger and the fourth projected finger. After the cylindrical body is held by friction stir welding devices, the probe of a friction stir welding tool is buried from the direction of either of the first projected part and the second projected part, and scanned in the direction of the other of the second projected part and the first projected part. The probe is buried and scanned in the state of being displaced to an advancing side.

摘要: A solid image capturing device outputs image data and characteristic data of the solid image capturing device on the same output signal line. Both outputs are processed by the same circuit. In one embodiment, the characteristic data is optically stored in the solid image capturing device. In another embodiment, the characteristic data is non-optically stored in the solid image capturing device. The image field of the solid image capturing device includes an invalid image field located outside the effective image field. Signals output from the invalid image field include those concerning the characteristic data of the solid image capturing device.

摘要: This camera has a plurality of light-emitting devices such as LED, which flicker in response to the number of shots which can be photographed. Also, while having no liquid crystal display for showing an error when it occurs, this camera has a non-volatile memory for writing an error code. When the camera is connected to a computer, the error code can be displayed on the computer screen.

摘要: A logic LSI chip includes a CPU, a bus, a memory, and a multiplier. In addition, the logic LSI chip includes a command signal line for transferring, from the CPU to the multiplier, a command regarding a multiplication instruction relating to data read out, while the data is being read out from the memory, so that the multiplier can fetch the data directly from the bus. While the CPU is reading data from the memory, therefore, a command of a multiplication instruction relating to data read out is transferred from the CPU to the multiplier. A bus cycle control circuit receives a state signal from the multiplier when the multiplier is executing a repetitional operation and the bus cycle control circuit responds to the state signal by signalling the CPU to delay issuance of a succeeding command to the multiplier.

摘要: This invention relates to a vehicle cruise controller which controls engine output and gear shift position such that a detected vehicle speed is identical to a target vehicle speed. A shift to lower gear is performed when a difference between the target vehicle speed and detected vehicle speed reaches a first predetermined value .alpha..sub.1. A mechanism is provided for estimating a travel resistance of the vehicle, the travel resistance when this difference has reached a second predetermined value .alpha..sub.2 which is less than the first predetermined value .alpha..sub.1, being learnt as a maximum drive torque FB of the engine. A shift to higher gear is made when the estimated travel resistance has become less than this learnt maximum drive torque FB after the shift to lower gear. In this way, gear shift hunting during cruise control when the vehicle is climbing or descending slopes, is suppressed.
