    Abstract: A lithium battery cell structure is provided. A first-electrode conduction portion and a second-electrode conduction portion that are exposed outward are respectively provided on two sides of a soft package lithium battery inside the metal housing. The first-electrode conduction portions are respectively electrically connected and fixed to a first-electrode conductive sheet, and the first-electrode conductive sheet is electrically connected and fixed to a housing conductive sheet that is connected to the metal housing. The second-electrode conduction portions are respectively electrically connected and fixed to a second-electrode conductive sheet, and an other end of the second-electrode conductive sheet is electrically connected and fixed to the second electrode end. By adjusting the design of electrical connection between extending portions and the soft package lithium battery and the housing, the lithium battery cell is enabled to have better electrical conductivity and a better heat dissipation effect, and the sealing procedure made simpler.

    Abstract: A rectangular secondary battery includes a current breaking mechanism with improved rigidity against vibration and impact. The current breaking mechanism is interposed in the middle of a current path electrically connected between an external terminal and a wound electrode group to break the current path by the rise of battery internal pressure. The current breaking mechanism includes a connection electrode arranged inside a battery lid and electrically connected to the external terminal, and a conductive plate bonded to the connection electrode and deformed by the rise of the battery internal pressure. The connection electrode includes a tabular member having a through hole in communication with the outside of the battery opening on a planar portion. The conductive plate includes a dome-shaped diaphragm portion gradually reducing its diameter as shifting in an axial direction and a flange portion extending radially outward from an outer peripheral portion of the diaphragm portion.

    Abstract: A secondary battery includes a current cut-off device that cuts off a current flow between a battery element and an external terminal of a positive electrode, and a bypass member electrically connected to an external terminal of a negative electrode. The current cut-off device includes a current collecting member electrically connected to the battery element inside an outer casing, and an inversion plate electrically connected to the current collecting member. The inversion plate comes apart from the current collecting member when the inner pressure of the outer casing becomes increased so as to cut off conduction between the battery element and the external terminal of the positive electrode, and becomes further deformed to electrically connect the bypass member and the external terminal of the positive electrode.

    Abstract: A prismatic nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a convex portion on a stepped portion of a stepped through hole of a positive electrode external conduction member. An upper end side of a caulked portion of a positive electrode terminal member is caulked by being inserted from a side of a small-diameter portion into the stepped through hole of a positive electrode external conduction member, and a convex portion of the positive electrode external conduction member is covered with a tip side of the caulked portion. Therefore, a terminal member and an external conduction member have a great bond strength, and rarely rotate with respect to each other. Thus, there is less concern that a conductivity decreases even when the battery is used under an environment including a lot of vibrations.
