The method includes feeding a polyimide film material into an extruder having a first zone that provides heating and a subsequent second zone that provides endothermic shearing. In one embodiment, the resulting purge media comprises a sheared polyimide powder having an average particle size in a range of about 5 to 100 microns (or any sub-range thereof). The purge media can comprises up to 35 weight percent other additives.

Disclosed are a charcoal-containing plastic packing material and a method for manufacturing the same. The present invention provides a plastic packing material which resolves the problems caused by the deficiency of compatibility between charcoal and resin such as deficiencies in mechanical properties, an aggregation phenomenon, foreign body sensation, defective forms, and poor quality, and which not only exhibits high-level general qualities, but which also, as a result of containing charcoal, has functional properties such as suppressing putrefactive bacteria, absorbing polluted particles and smells, radiating far-infrared rays and anions, and preventing the generation of static electricity. Also, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a plastic packing material, in which the particle size, the amount used for resin, and the particle size uniformity of charcoal powder to be mixed with resin are adjusted according to the thickness of the plastic packing material to be formed.

The invention relates to a method for producing an article from agglomerated stone, for example a slab for construction or decoration, comprising the following steps: bringing into contact (i) an inorganic filler, (ii) a polyester resin precursor composition and (iii) a powdered electrically conductive component; mixing same to produce a uniform mass; distributing part of the mass on a substrate; pressing the distributed mass in a vibro-compaction press under vacuum conditions; and hardening the mass by means of polymerisation of the polyester resin.

The invention provides a natural fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin injection molding having an excellent ability to discharge static electricity. The natural fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin injection molding is obtained by injection-molding with using natural fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin pellets as a molding feedstock containing natural fibers as reinforcing fibers, has a natural fiber content of from 20 to 60 wt %. The natural fibers have an average length of from 1.5 to 4.0 mm. The natural fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin injection molding has an electrostatic voltage half-life, as determined by the half-life measurement method specified in JIS L 1094, of less than 40 seconds.

An antistatic silicone rubber mold-making material is provided. This mold-making material comprises a silicone rubber composition which is curable by an addition reaction, and which contains an ionically conductive antistatic agent. The article produced by curing this antistatic silicone rubber mold-making material retains the insulator performance and the article exhibits excellent antistatic properties. Also, the article can be colored as desired.
