Abstract:
A composition including at least one moisture-curable, semi-crystalline (meth)acrylic oligomer represented by the formula: wherein R1 is independently a C16 to C40 alkyl group; R2 is independently a C16 to C40 alkyl group; each R3 is independently a methyl, ethyl, or isopropyl group; X is a chain transfer agent as defined further below; Y is independently selected to be a methyl, ethyl, or isopropyl group; a, b and c are each independently selected to be an integer of at least 10, and a+b+c≦1500; n≧1; and p is 0, 1, 2, or 3. The oligomer may be used advantageously as a coating, primer or adhesion promoter in construction articles, for example, adhesives, caulks, grouts, pavement markings, paving materials, ceramic tiles, or roofing granules.
Abstract:
A low emissivity and EMI shielding transparent composite film typically for use in association with window glazing and comprising a transparent film substrate having on one side thereof an underlayer of abrasion resistant hardcoat material with at least one infrared reflective layer covering the underlayer, typically a metallic layer which may be encased in metal oxide layers, which is then covered with a thin external protective top coat of a cured fluorinated resin.
Abstract:
A barrier film including a substrate; a base polymer layer adjacent to the substrate; an oxide layer adjacent to the base polymer layer; a adhesion-modifying layer adjacent to the oxide layer; and a top coat polymer layer adjacent to the adhesion-modifying layer. An optional inorganic layer can be applied over the top coat polymer layer. The inclusion of a adhesion-modifying layer provides for enhanced resistance to moisture and improved peel strength adhesion of the top coat polymer layer to the underlying barrier stack layers.
Abstract:
Thermal insulation material capable of being obtained from the mixture of at least the following elements: an aqueous foam; silica aerogel particles; and at least one binder selected from an organic binder and a mineral binder.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an resist material for imprinting comprises a first resin component nonvolatile at a substrate on which to form an imprinting pattern, a second resin component volatile at the substrate, and a coupling reaction initiator that promotes curing of the first resin component.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention provides a resin composition for flooring characterized in that it comprises a PLA resin, a plasticizer, and an acrylate oligomer. Also, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing flooring, comprising the step of processing flooring which includes a sheet-like molded body of the resin composition and manufacturing the sheet-like molded body by processing the resin composition through extrusion or calendaring methods.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a film with low an optical retardation and thus low stress birefringence which contains at least one layer containing at least one polycarbonate or co-polycarbonate and which, on account of its optical properties, is suitable for use in opto-electronic devices, e.g. in displays and touch panels, as well as to a process for the production of such films and to the use thereof.
Abstract:
The invention describes a method for producing a foam moulding from poly(meth)acrylimide, an adhesion promoter or an adhesion promoter mixture and optional auxiliaries, comprising the following steps: grinding a polymeric moulding made of poly(meth)acrylamide, coating the grindings obtained in the preceding step with an adhesion promoter, introducing the coated grindings into a mould, optionally adding the auxiliaries, heating the mould, cooling the mould below the foaming temperature, and demoulding the foam moulding. The resulting foam moulding has outstanding mechanical properties and is suitable for applications including as a component in the production of space, air, water and land vehicles.
Abstract:
A composition that can be used as foam composition is disclosed, which comprises or is produced from an ethylene acrylate dipolymer, an acid copolymer, and optionally a soft ethylene polymer. The ethylene acrylate dipolymer comprises repeat units derived from ethylene and at least one alkylacrylate. The acid copolymer comprises repeat units derived from ethylene and acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or combinations thereof. The soft ethylene polymer comprises ethylene and an α-olefin, vinyl acetate, or combinations thereof.
