Abstract: Technologies are generally described for identifying whether a propagation path between a mobile device and an access point is line-of-sight. In some examples, a method performed under control of a mobile device may include receiving, from an access point, a first signal transmitted at a first frequency band; receiving, from the access point, a second signal transmitted at a second frequency band; measuring a difference value between propagation properties of the first signal and the second signal; and identifying whether a propagation path between the mobile device and the access point is line-of-sight or non-line-of-sight based at least in part on the difference value.

Abstract: Filtration systems and methods for removing a filter residue from a filter employed in filtering a liquid (for example, grey water). The filtration system may include a vessel having an inlet through which a liquid can be introduced during use and an outlet through which filtered clean liquid can exit. A filter configured to filter the liquid is disposed within the vessel between the inlet and the outlet. The filtration system may further include at least one transducer disposed on or adjacent to the filter. The at least one transducer may be configured to generate one or more pressure waves effective to dislodge at least some residue materials collected on an upstream side of the filter.

Abstract: An evaporation-condensation system and methods of manufacturing and using the same are disclosed. The system may include a condensation surface having one or more wipers and a gas diffusion apparatus. The one or more wipers may be configured to move over the condensation surface to displace one or more of fouling material and condensed material that may be present on the condensation surface. The gas diffusion apparatus may include one or more anti-gas blades positioned substantially parallel to the condensation surface and one or more gas storage areas. The gas diffusion apparatus may be configured to guide an amount of vapor molecules towards the condensation surface and promote condensation of the vapor molecules by rotating the one or more anti-gas blades around a central axis and displacing an amount of non-condensable gas into the one or more gas storage areas.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described related to a dual channel memory device, system and method of manufacture. Various described devices include utilization of both a front channel and a back channel through a substrate formed underneath a dual gate structure of a semiconductor device. Using two pairs of contacts on opposing sides of the gate structure, where the contact pairs are formed on differently doped layers of the semiconductor device, multiple bits may be stored in the semiconductor device acting as a single memory cell. Memorization may be realized by storing different amount or types of charges on the floating gate, where the charges may impact a conduction status of the channels of the device. By detecting the conduction status of the channels, such as open circuit, close circuit, or high resistance, low resistance, data stored on the device (“0” or “1”) may be detected.

Abstract: Techniques described herein generally include methods and systems related to improving energy efficiency in a chip multiprocessor by reducing the energy consumption of a DRAM cache for such a multi-chip processor. Methods of varying refresh interval may be used to improve the energy efficiency of such a DRAM cache. Specifically, a per-set refresh interval based on retention time of memory blocks in the set may be determined, and, starting from the leakiest memory block, memory blocks stored in the DRAM cache that are associated with data also stored in a lower level of cache are not refreshed.
