    摘要: In a searching boat having a searching system for searching a spillage oil on the sea, the searching system comprises a driving device, an oil film appreciating device, and a radio transmitter. The driving device drives the searching boat in a predetermined direction on the spillage oil on the sea. The oil film appreciating device appreciates an edge of an oil film of the spillage oil to produce an oil edge appreciating signal. Supplied with the oil edge appreciating signal, the radio transmitter produces an arrival signal. The driving device may drive the searching boat in a forward direction as a forward mode driving when supplied with a start signal and may drive the searching boat in a backward direction opposite to the forward direction as a backward mode driving when supplied with the oil edge appreciating signal. Furthermore, the driving device may carry out the forward and the backward mode drivings every time when supplied with the oil edge appreciating signal. First through N-th driving devices may drive first through N-th searching boats in first through N-th directions, respectively.

    摘要: A vibration-powered generator (100) has a vibrating element (10) and a coil (40) arranged therearound, and is configured to obtain electromotive force by moving the vibrating element (10) relatively to the coil (40). The vibrating element (10) has a plurality of magnets (20a to 20d) arranged so as to oppose the pole-faces of the same polarity; end supporting portions (12, 13) which support the plurality of magnets from both ends in the direction of arrangement; and a cushioning (16). The cushioning (16) is held between the end supporting portion (12) and the magnet (20c), while being compressed under a stress exceeding the repelling force between the pole-faces of the magnets, so as to keep the magnets (20a to 20d) in a row without leaving a gap in between, overcoming the repelling force.

In the engine 1, when the valve characteristic is the first valve characteristic, if the presence of a request for switching to the second valve characteristic resulting from an increase in engine load is detected, a pressure reducing operation for reducing the pressure in an exhaust passage 40 of the engine 1 is performed (e.g., a regulate valve 68 is opened). This allows, when the valve characteristic is switched from the first valve characteristic to the second valve characteristic as a result of an increase in engine load, the amount of fresh air charged into a cylinder 2 to be increased at the earliest possible time.
