    摘要: A novel vehicle energy absorbing structure is disclosed, in which a hard member has a portion facing the compartment, a cover having a substantially U-shaped section is provided to cover the compartment side of the hard member, and an energy absorbing member is interposed between the cover and the hard member to absorb energy by plastic deformation. At the time of deformation of the cover caused under a pressure load not less than a predetermined value, at least a trigger portion formed in the cover provides a momentum for plastic deformation of the energy absorbing member. Thus a compact vehicle energy absorbing structure is provided which can absorb a sufficient amount of load.

    摘要: A loading apparatus for a recording medium such as a disc-like recording medium includes a transfer member, a drive unit, a detector and a controller. The transfer member moves between a recording medium changing position and a disc-like recording medium recording and/or reproducing position. The drive unit drives the transfer member. The detector continuously detects a position of the transfer member moved on the basis of a drive force from the drive unit in accordance with a movement of a movable part of the drive unit. The controller controls the drive unit so that a moving speed of the transfer member is slowed under the condition prior to arriving at the changing position and the recording/reproducing position of the transfer member on the basis of a detection signal from the detector.

    摘要: A high-pressure pump includes a plunger capable of reciprocating, and a housing having a pressurizing chamber in which fuel is pressurized by the plunger, and a fuel chamber through which the fuel flows toward and from the pressurizing chamber. The pump includes a spring that biases the plunger so as to increase the volume of the pressurizing chamber, and a spring seat that is fixed to the housing and is in contact with one end of the spring. A first space that communicates with the fuel chamber via a fuel passage is provided between the bottom of the spring seat and the housing, and a top face of the bottom exposed to the first space is covered with a heatinginsulating member.
