    Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable communication device and an antenna unit. The device includes a display having a display surface, a transparent non-conductive display window covering the display surface of the display, and an antenna having at least one antenna element, wherein the antenna element is provided as a transparent conductive layer provided on the display cover. With this antenna solution space is freed inside the device for use for other units or for further size reductions. Light passing through the window is furthermore not blocked.

    Abstract: Polyimides serve as reinforcing rigid-backbone segments in nylon 6 copolymers. In a first embodiment, the copolymers are prepared from polyimides containing acylated caprolactam moieties pendant therefrom which provide sites for polycaprolactam grafts. In a second embodiment, polyimide oligomers end-capped with acyl-activated caprolactam rings permit the formation of block caprolactam copolymers that include polyimide reinforcing segments. The polyimide/nylon 6 copolymers have properties superior to those of nylon 6 and can also serve as compatibilizing agents.
