摘要: To provide a light emitting device easy to produce and extracting light to its outside with high efficiency, the light-emitting device 70 of the present invention includes an insulating base 10; a light-emitting element 1 mounted on a side of the base 10; and a protection element 2 mounted on the side and protecting the light-emitting element 1. The element 2 is covered with a light-reflecting filler-containing resin 5, which is prepared by causing a flexible silicone resin to contain, before being cured, light-reflecting or light-scattering fillers 5a having a particle diameter larger than the wavelength of light emitted by the element 1. This causes light emitted from the element 1 to be reflected by the resin 5, instead of being absorbed by the element 2, so that such light is released to the outside of the light-emitting device 70. This allows the device 70 to extract light to the outside with high efficiency, and also allows for easy formation of the resin 5 having a desired pattern and position.

摘要: A ceramics sound absorption material made of a ceramics block which is obtained by adding a combustible pore-forming material to at least one selected from refractory clay and refractory chamotte and calcining the blend, which has communicating pores having a main pore diameter of 0.2 to 2,000 &mgr;m, which has an air permeability of at least 1 cm3·cm/cm2·sec·cmH2O, and in which surface a large number of sound absorption holes or sound absorption grooves are formed, a glaze being applied to only the surface except the inner peripheral surfaces and the bottom surfaces of the sound absorption holes or the sound absorption grooves to form a glaze layer which fills the communicating pores and which is substantially free from an air permeability. The porous ceramics sound absorption material is excellent in sound absorption characteristics and a weatherability, and is less stained in particular. Stains once adhered are easily removed, and a good appearance can be maintained for a long period of time.

摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus is disclosed, which apparatus has a pressure chamber that holds an ink liquid, and a nozzle communicating with the pressure chamber for discharging the ink liquid when pressure is applied to the pressure chamber. The pressure chamber has a diaphragm disposed therein. A piezoelectric element made of a monocrystalline or polycrystalline piezoelectric member highly oriented along a polarization axis showing perovskite structure, and mainly composed of lead zirconate titanate or barium titanate, is used to vibrate the diaphragm. When a specified voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element, it causes the ink liquid in the pressure chamber to be discharged into a recording medium at the front side of the nozzle.

摘要: A piezoelectric filter is one not changing in the holding position of resonator in spite of impulse, small in the number of parts, easy to assemble from one direction, small, thin, and stable in characteristic. For example, as shown in FIG. 7, on electrode patterns on a package 10 forming wiring electrode patterns 11, holding protrusions 13 for holding resonators, and partition boards 14 for positioning resonators, a rectangular plate type piezoelectric resonators 12 are adhered with conductive adhesive. The rectangular plate type piezoelectric resonators 12 and the package 10 are adhered and reinforced from above with a vibration absorbing member 15, and wiring is formed from above the resonators by a wire bonding 16, thereby wiring resonators in a ladder form. Or, as shown in FIG. 11, after forming electrode patterns 102 on a piezoelectric substrate 101, a rectangular plate resonator 104 is cut out from a piezoelectric substrate 101 by laser in a shape consecutive to the piezoelectric substrate 101 by the node of length expander mode, and the piezoelectric substrate 101 is enclosed by a spacer 106 and a sheet 107 from above and beneath.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for driving an ultrasonic motor of the type which includes a vibrator for causing a flexural vibration wave in response to a pair of AC driving voltage signals, and a rotor in contact with the vibrator and moved by the flexural vibration wave. The rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor is controlled by using a feedback signal and a data table, the feedback signal indicating the current rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor, and the data table storing values of the feedback signal as a standard function of the rotational 21 speed. The method includes the step of sampling the feedback signal and detecting the rotational speed in a plurality of rotation states of the ultrasonic motor. The method obtains an approximate function representing the relationship between the sampled feedback signal and the detected rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor, and calculates correction coefficients for adjusting the approximate function to the standard function. The method then controls the rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor by using the feedback signal. In the controlling step, the method corrects the feedback signal obtained from the ultrasonic motor by using the correction coefficient, whereby a value of the approximate function is transformed into a corresponding value of the standard function.

摘要: Protrusions made of an electrically conductive material such as a metal or ceramic are formed around a node point or a node line of vibrations of a piezoelectric plate on two principal planes thereof by a spraying process. The piezoelectric plate is held at the protrusions with leaf springs on the two principal planes. Thus, protrusions of a small surface area are formed without deteriorating the piezoelectric plate. The piezoelectric plate can be held stably without deteriorating the vibration characteristics. An alternating voltage is applied to electrodes of the piezoelectric plate through the electrically conductive protrusions. Because a spraying process is used, the protrusions can be thickly and precisely formed in a small area and held surely and reliably, with a good mechanical strength of the protrusions.
