The programmable circuit further includes a plurality of photon detectors coupled to respective portions of the superconducting multi-dimensional array, each photon detector configured to selectively provide input to a corresponding respective portion sufficient to transition the corresponding respective portion from a superconducting state to a non-superconducting state. The programmable circuit also includes one or more electrical terminals coupled to respective second portions of the superconducting multi-dimensional array.

摘要: Excitation used to produce luminescence is cancelled using interference with an excitation cancelling beam by controlling or setting a phase difference. An excitation beam and an excitation cancelling beam are produced from a common source and the excitation beam directed quantum light emitter to produce luminescence. A residual excitation beam and the excitation cancelling beam are coupled to interfere destructively so that the luminescence is available for detection or otherwise without substantial portions of the excitation beam.

摘要: A laser absorptivity measurement device uses a linearly polarized incident beam, an optical configuration comprising an internal polarizing beamsplitter that transmits the linearly polarized incident beam and a quarter-wave plate that converts linearly polarized incident beam into a circularly polarized incident beam that is reflected off a processing substrate. The quarter-wave plate and polarizing beamsplitter can then direct the reflected light back into an integrating volume, where the power of the reflected light can be measured by a photodetector. The laser absorptivity measurement device is capable of making real-time absorption efficiency measurements of a variety of laser-based processes, including laser welding and brazing, additive manufacturing, and laser marking.

A transmitter is on the platform, the transmitter configured to periodically transmit the performance reference metric to a receiver.

摘要: A system, apparatus and method of improved measurement of the SPF factor of sunscreen compositions. In one embodiment, a method of measuring the protection of a sunscreen composition includes exposing skin to a known intensity of light, measuring the amount of remitted light from the skin, applying sunscreen to the skin, exposing the skin to which the sunscreen has been applied the known intensity of emitted light of the spectrum of light from which the sunscreen is intended to protect the skin, measuring the amount of light remitted from the skin, and calculating a UltraViolet-A Protection Factor (UVA-PF) of the sunscreen by comparing the amount of light remitted from the skin with the sunscreen to the amount of light remitted from the skin without the sunscreen.
