    摘要: Disclosed is an image receiving sheet for forming a toner image by removably adhering toner thereto. The sheet has an irregular surface including a plurality of concavities in the form of continuous grooves for receiving the toner and ridges extending along the concavities, and a toner image can be formed by removably adhering the toner to the concavities. The ridges of the irregular surface are capable of protecting the toner adhering to the concavities. The continuously grooved concavities have a depth (height of ridges) of 20 μm to 150 μm; and a condition of E·A≧2 [GPa·μm] can be established wherein E[GPa] means Young's modulus and A [μm] means a width of ridges, the Young's modulus being a value when a material for forming the concavities and ridges is elongated by 1%. The ridges may be reinforced by reinforcing portions for retaining postures of the ridges.

    摘要: An intermediate transfer drum is employed and a photosensitive belt having a length equal to the outer peripheral length of the intermediate transfer drum is arranged with a vertical orientation. Developing units of the same shape are arranged on one side of the photosensitive belt, and a charging unit and a cleaner are arranged on the other side. The intermediate transfer drum is placed under or diagonally under the photosensitive belt. A transfer mechanism for transferring an image on the intermediate transfer drum to a sheet of paper is placed under or diagonally under the intermediate transfer drum. By this arrangement and construction, a small-size color electro-photographic apparatus having a size capable of easy use as a desk-top apparatus is provided, which satisfies quality of image, speed of printing, and easiness of maintenance requirements at the same time.

    摘要: An intermediate transfer unit is constructed by covering a conductive cylindrical base member of drum-shape with an elastic member of belt-shape, the elastic member of belt-shape being adhesively fixed to the base member with an adhesive agent, grooves or pits being provided on the surface of the cylindrical base member, the elastic member of belt-shape being adhesively fixed by the adhesive agent filled in the grooves or pits. The adhesive agent has a resistivity smaller than at least the resistivity of the elastic member of belt-shape. By doing so, it is possible to construct and keep the uniform distribution of resistivity without change by environment and deterioration with age, and to realize proper transferring. Furthermore, since the diametrical change of the drum due to uneven application of the adhesive agent can be minimized, the effect on misalignment in color can be minimized.
