    摘要: A buoyancy flushing apparatus is disclosed which comprises a reservoir for accumulating liquid, having an inlet for receiving liquid and an outlet chamber recessed in a bottom wall of the reservoir. The outlet chamber includes an outlet for draining liquid out of the reservoir. The apparatus further comprises an outlet valve movable between a down position where liquid accumulates in the reservoir and a raised position where liquid accumulated in the reservoir is flushed out via the outlet. The outlet valve comprises a ballast unit sized and shaped to fit loosely in the outlet chamber when said valve is in the down position; and a float unit topping the ballast unit to move the valve in the raised position by buoyancy when a sufficient amount of liquid is accumulated in the reservoir, thereby providing a passageway for liquid between the bottom wall of the reservoir and the valve leading to the outlet in the outlet chamber to flush liquid out of the reservoir. Guiding means are provided for guiding the outlet valve between the down position and the raised position. The apparatus can be used for applications such as water treatment and irrigation. It could advantageously be used for directing and spreading waste water previously treated in a septic tank to different sanitary treating fields.

    摘要: The apparatus treats storm water and includes a cylindrical basket that has a housing with a circumferentially extending air slot near the base of the housing. The basket contains an annular bed of absorbent material surrounded by a filter cartridge. Water flows radially inward through the filter and the bed into a cylindrical inner drainage space which has an outlet at its lower end, covered by a float valve. The drainage space is also in fluid communication with a one-way valve that allows air to pass from the housing into the environment. During operation, the float valve lifts when the water level rises and air is expelled from the drainage space through the one-way valve. As a result, water is continuously siphoned through the basket apparatus. When the water level drops, air enters through the air inlet slot of the housing and rises in turbulent fashion along the filter, scouring the filter and dislodging particulates. As a result, the filter is cleaned and the infiltration capacity of the basket filter is maintained.

    摘要: A system for providing a liquid to a plant or tree stand comprising a liquid reservoir connected via tubing to a liquid control assembly having a liquid level control section positioned on the lower end of an adjustable vertical section with straps for attachment to a tree. The liquid level control section comprises a lever arm/float assembly positioned within the tree stand for maintaining a predetermined liquid level within the tree stand. As the liquid in the tree stand is depleted the float drops and the opposite end of a float lever arm penetrates a channel raising a metal ball which permits liquid to enter the tree stand through the liquid level control assembly connected to the tubing from the reservoir. As the liquid rises in the tree stand, the float is forced upward causing the opposite end of the float lever to drop resulting in the metal ball lowering to seal the channel thereby stopping the liquid flow into the tree stand.

    摘要: A water top-up plug for batteries containing a liquid electrolyte has a plug housing, which is formed outwardly in the lower region so that it is complementary to an upper battery housing opening. A cover is arranged at the plug housing at the top, beneath which there is located a water chamber which has a water supply opening which can be closed by a valve and at least one flow connection to that region of the plug housing which, after the insertion into a battery housing opening, communicates with the inner space of the battery. Moreover, at least one tube stub is provided, onto which a water supply hose can be mounted and which stands in flow communication with the water inlet. At the bottom, a float projects out of the plug housing and is connected with the valve body via a float rod and a cross-piece provided at its upper end. The valve seat and the water supply opening are integrated in accordance with the invention into the plug housing.
