Abstract: A phase change memory device includes two portions with local bitlines connected to memory cells. A reading stage is configured to read logic data stored by the first and second memory cells. A first main bitline extends between the reading stage and the first local bitlines and a first main switch is coupled between the first main bitline and reading stage and likewise for the second portion. Local switches are associated with respective ones of the local bitlines. A first reference signal generator is coupled to the reading stage. The phase change memory device is configured to operate in a first reading mode, in which the logic data stored by the first memory cell is read by the reading stage by comparison with the reference signal.

Abstract: A communication method includes receiving a first message of a Short Message Service containing a first command that requests execution of a proactive command. The first message is decrypted according to protocol SCP80 to extract the first command. The execution of the proactive command is requested in order to obtain a response to the proactive command. A second message of the Short Message Service is transmitted to the remote server and indicates that the response to the proactive command has been obtained. A third message of the Short Message Service is received and contains a second command from the remote server. The third message is decrypted according to the protocol SCP80. A response message is generated as a function of the response and encrypted according to the protocol SCP80 to generate a fourth message of the Short Message Service transmitted to the remote server.

Abstract: A control device for controlling a switching converter includes a switch controller that generates a control signal with a switching period for controlling switching of a switch of the switching converter and setting a first interval in which a current flows in the switch, a second interval in which energy is transferred onto a storage element of the switching converter, and a third, wait, interval, at the end of the second interval. The duration of the first interval is determined based on a control voltage indicating the output voltage. A pre-distortion stage receives the control voltage and generates a pre-distorted control voltage as a function of the control voltage and a relationship between one of the first and third time intervals and the switching period, wherein the switch controller is configured to control a duration of the first interval based on the pre-distorted control voltage.

Abstract: A gyroscope includes: a mass, which is movable with respect to a supporting body; a driving loop for keeping the mass in oscillation according to a driving axis; a reading device, which supplying an output signal indicating an angular speed of the body; and a compensation device, for attenuating spurious signal components in quadrature with respect to a velocity of oscillation of the mass. The reading device includes an amplifier, which supplies a transduction signal indicating a position of the mass according to a sensing axis. The compensation device forms a control loop with the amplifier, extracts from the transduction signal an error signal representing quadrature components in the transduction signal, and supplies to the amplifier a compensation signal such as to attenuate the error signal.

Abstract: A device for detecting obstacles that is wearable by a subject, for example integrated in an item of footwear. Abstract: A load-sensing device is arranged in a package forming a chamber. The package has a deformable substrate configured, in use, to be deformed by an external force. A sensor unit is positioned in direct contact with the deformable substrate and is configured to detect deformations of the deformable substrate. An elastic element within of the chamber is arranged to act between the package and the sensor unit to generate, on the sensor unit, a force keeping the sensor unit in contact with the deformable substrate.
