Abstract:
A color filter of liquid crystal display (LCD) panel is described. A surface property of a black matrix is changed by coating with an ink-repellent layer formed of cheap materials, to provide better separation between portions of a colored layer, thus reducing the cost of the ink-repellent layer and avoid overflowing while color ink drops are attaching onto a transparent substrate. In addition, a method of fabricating a color filter of LCD panel is described. The ink-repellent layer is transferred onto the black matrix, and then the colored layer is formed thereon. The ink-repellent layer effectively separates the colored layer. This method of the invention greatly diminishes the usage of the ink-repellent layer, steps of exposure and development, and the cost and time of fabricating the color filter.

Wherein, the total ion concentration of the sealant is lower than 30 ppm with the concentration of Na+ lower than 10 ppm, the concentration of K+ lower than 5 ppm, the concentration of Mg+2 lower than 5 ppm and the concentration of Ca+2 lower than 5 ppm. Furthermore, a liquid crystal display panel and the sealant of a liquid crystal display panel are provided.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating a color filter is provided. First, a substrate having a light shielding layer formed thereon is provided, wherein the light shielding layer is adopted for defining a plurality of sub-pixel regions on the substrate. Next, a hydrophobic layer is formed on the light shielding layer by stencil printing, or a surface silylation treatment is carried out to clean the light shielding layer by inkjet printing. Next, a color filter layer is formed in the sub-pixel regions. Thus, fabrication method of the present invention is capable of reducing the possibility of intermixing the color ink between adjacent sub-pixel regions.
Abstract:
A protecting structure for ESD is formed on a substrate of a TFT-LCD. A display area of the TFT-LCD is formed by a pixel array comprising lots of pixel units, scan lines and data lines. The protecting structure comprises a first rake metal and an α-Si layer. The first rake metal is formed outside the display area and each short end of the first rake metal faces the data line by a spacing. Further, all tips of the short end and the data lines are sharp in shape so as to accumulate electrostatic charges. The α-Si layer is formed directly under the predetermined short end of first rake metal and the corresponding data line. The α-Si layer is used to serve as a discharging path for performing through breakdown to the α-Si layer so as to eliminate electrostatic charges.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for write compensation for optimizing the performance of a data storage or communication channel are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method comprises determining channel sensitivity to modifications in write signal parameters, detecting systematic errors in a read signal recovered from data written with a first set of write parameters, and adjusting the write signal parameters by an amount determined from the channel sensitivity such that the systematic errors are reduced when data are written with the adjusted write parameters.

A method and system for delivering a mixed slurry for use chemical mechanical polishing operation. A first slurry may be mixed with a second slurry to provide a mixed slurry thereof. A flow rate and a mixing ratio associated with the mixed slurry can be controlled to provide an accurate flow rate control and adjustable mixing ratio thereof. The first slurry and the second slurry may be mixed in-line utilizing an in-line mixing mechanism to provide a mixed slurry thereof. Alternatively, the first and second slurries may be pre-mixed utilizing a pre-mixing mechanism to provide a mixed slurry there.

A method is disclosed for encapsulating at least one display device. A plurality of parallel openings are formed in a first material layer on a first substrate to expose a second material layer underneath. A predetermined sealant is placed thereon to form a sealant region perpendicular to the openings for attaching a second substrate, wherein the sealant contacts the first material layer and the second material layer through the openings for encapsulating the display device between the first and second substrates.

The DMHC comprises a linear table and a PID (proportional integrated differential) controller operably connected to a slurry pump provided in a slurry flow conduit which delivers the polishing slurry to the CMP apparatus. A bubble trap and a flowmeter provided in the slurry flow conduit downstream of the slurry pump are operably connected to the PID controller, and the CMP apparatus is located downstream of the flowmeter.
Abstract:
A system and method are disclosed for providing a gain control signal for a multilevel read signal. In one embodiment, maximum automatic gain control marks are periodically inserted amongst a series of data fields. The automatic gain control marks include a series of high level marks such that the maximum signal detected in the interior portion of each maximum automatic gain control mark is not reduced by intersymbol interference. Minimum automatic gain control marks are also periodically inserted amongst a series of data fields. The automatic gain control marks include a series of high level marks such that the maximum signal detected in the interior portion of each minimum automatic gain control mark is not reduced by intersymbol interference. In another embodiment, multilevel signals are encoded to facilitate automatic gain control. The effect of a plurality of candidate merge symbols on the residual running total power associated with a current data block is determined. A preferred merge symbol is selected based on a residual running total power minimization criteria. The preferred merge symbol is added to the current data block.
