Abstract:
A polarized neutron guide for separating neutrons into polarized neutrons while minimizing loss of the neutrons is provided. The polarized neutron guide includes a body, the first space and the second space, and a neutron separation space. The body includes super mirrors coated with a neutron-reflective thin film and the first and second spaces are formed by the first plate inside the body. The neutron separation space is formed by the second plate disposed at the entry of the first space and the third plate disposed at the entry of the second space. Spin-up polarized neutrons and spin-down polarized neutrons are simultaneously separated and transferred in the first and second spaces, respectively. Therefore, with minimum loss of the neutrons, the spin-up polarized neutrons and the spin-down polarized neutrons are effectively separated and collected.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a shell-and-tube reactor that may be used for fixed-bed catalytic partial oxidation, the reactor being characterized by including at least one reaction zone of a first-step reaction zone for mainly producing unsaturated aldehydes and a second-step reaction zone for mainly producing unsaturated acids, wherein at least one reaction zone of the above reaction zones comprises two or more catalytic layers; each of the catalytic layers is packed with a formed product of catalyst that is different in pore density and/or pore size in a catalytically active component; and the pore density and/or pore size is controlled in such a manner that specific surface area of the catalytically active component increases from the inlet of the reactor to the outlet of the reactor. A method for producing unsaturated aldehydes and/or unsaturated fatty acids from olefins using the same reactor is also disclosed. According to the present invention, it is possible to control the temperature efficiently at a hot spot, thereby permitting stable use of a catalyst, and to produce unsaturated aldehydes and/or unsaturated fatty acids with high yield.
Abstract:
A FinFET structure is fabricated by patterning a semiconductor substrate to form a nonplanar semiconductor structure including a first fin, a second fin substantially parallel to the first fin, and an inter-fin semiconductor strip coupled therebetween. The first fin, the second fin, and the inter-fin semiconductor strip each extend from a drain region to a source region. A gate dielectric layer is formed on the first and second fins and the inter-fin semiconductor strip in a gate region substantially orthogonal to the first and second fins and between the drain and source region. A gate electrode layer is formed on the gate dielectric layer. The semiconductor substrate may be a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) material comprising a buried oxide layer (BOX) having a silicon layer formed thereon.
Abstract:
A printed circuit board manufacturing system and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. A method of manufacturing printed circuit board, comprising: providing a substrate that comprises a pad and an insulation layer covering the pad; acquiring an image of the substrate; acquiring location information of the pad by analyzing the image of the substrate; forming a via hole by removing a part of the insulation layer that corresponds the location information of the pad; and forming a via by filling the via hole with a conductive material, provides improved process conformity, even if the substrate has partial or nonlinear deformation, by considering the location information of the pad in the via hole forming. The improved conformity may allow more flexibility to substrate design and more integrity for circuitries on printed circuit board.

This invention relates to a mask for screen printing, which includes a mask body composed of a plurality of pattern areas having holes for screen printing and a peripheral area surrounding the outside of the pattern areas; and a protrusion portion formed in the peripheral area of a back surface of the mask body, and to a screen printing method using the same.
Abstract:
Unit cells of metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistors are provided including an integrated circuit substrate and a MOS transistor on the integrated circuit substrate. The MOS transistor has a source region, a drain region and a gate region, the gate region being between the source region and the drain region. First and second channel regions are provided between the source and drain regions. The channel region is defined by first and second spaced apart protrusions in the integrated circuit substrate separated by a trench region. The first and second protrusions extend away from the integrated circuit substrate and upper surfaces of the first and second protrusions are substantially planar with upper surfaces of the source and drain regions. A gate electrode is provided in the trench region extending on sidewalls of the first and second spaced apart protrusions and on at least a portion of surfaces of the first and second spaced apart protrusions.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for controlling multiple powers which is capable of turning on and off the multiple powers in their priorities for systems or components to be supplied with the multiple powers such as a liquid crystal display (LCD) module. In the apparatus for controlling multiple powers, an on-signal of high level is applied to an input terminal, and an output of a control signal generating unit is sequentially changed to a high level whenever a clock is applied to a clock signal input terminal by one period, so that outputs of the multiple powers are sequentially output. In addition, an off signal of low level is applied to the input terminal, and an output of the control signal generating unit is changed to a low level in a reversal order whenever a clock is applied to the clock signal input terminal by one period, so that outputs of the multiple powers are interrupted in the reversal order.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hand skin care apparatus for performing multiple functions of drying and cosmetically treating hands, caring hand skin, aiding health, therapeutic activation, and fomentation, therapeutic activation, and fomentation, and employs a cover pivotally opened and closed about a hinge shaft of a main body for sucking air, projecting infrared rays, heating using infrared rays, and projecting laser beams. The introduced air passes through the infrared ray projector and is blown to where a user's hands are placed such that hands are rapidly dried by hot air and heat, infrared rays, and infrared rays generated by the infrared ray projector and the infrared exothermic device prevent and remove the inhabitance of bacteria causing various diseases on the hands. Thus, a user can maintain his/her hands at sanitary state. Due to the increased temperature, the apparatus of the present invention exhibits fomentation and the far infrared rays are helpful to hand skin care and health. Moreover, the low-level laser beam is projected to hands to activate the treatment of affected parts and various hand diseases, resulting in aiding health. Since a single apparatus performs various and multiple functions, the hand skin care apparatus is variously used, has various effects. Moreover, economic value and utility of the hand skin care apparatus are enhanced.
