摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus which is capable of securing a time period for measuring the base reflected light quantity required for the base correction, and at the same time, reducing a time period required for the entire image density control. An image forming unit includes an image carrier disposed to be exposed to light to have a latent image formed thereon, an electrostatic charger that charges the image carrier to a predetermined polarity, a developing device that visualizes the latent image formed on the image carrier to form a visible image, and an endless belt onto which the visible image is transferred. A CPU controls the image forming unit to form predetermined detection patterns on the endless belt. The detection patterns and the quantity of reflection light from the endless belt are detected. The CPU corrects the detected detection patterns based on the detected quantity of reflection light. One of the image forming conditions is adjusted by the CPU, based on the corrected detection result of the detection patterns. Another one of the image forming conditions is adjusted by the CPU. The detection of the quantity of reflection light from the endless belt is carried out in timing synchronous with the adjustment of the other image forming condition.

摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus of the type that a toner image, which is transferred onto an intermediate transfer member, onto a sheet material, is transferred onto a sheet material, which is capable of reducing the possibility of leading end misalignment even if there is a delay in conveyance of the sheet material. An image forming device forms an image on a photosensitive member. An image carrier carries an image. A first transfer device transfers the image carried by the image carrier onto a sheet. A second transfer device transfers the image transferred onto the image carrier onto a sheet. A feeding device feeds the sheet. A conveying device conveys the sheet fed by the feeding device to the second transfer device. A controller controls the conveying device to cause the sheet to be temporarily stopped at a first location and a second location between the feeding device and the second transfer device. The controller is operable when determining that, if the sheet is caused to be temporarily stopped at the first location, the sheet cannot be conveyed to the second transfer device by the conveying device in time for timing in which the image carried by the image carrier reaches the second transfer device, for providing control to inhibit the sheet from being temporarily stopped at the first location.

摘要: A retainer for an electronic apparatus includes a housing member in the form of a frame, an antenna holding member, and rib elements for assuring a distance between a main printed board and a sub-printed board. The housing member, antenna holding member and rib elements are formed as one unit of a resin material. The housing member accommodates and holds a liquid crystal display unit, an EL lamp and so forth. The antenna holding member supports an inner side portion of a loop antenna. The rib elements hold the sub-printed board to assure the distance between the main printed board and the sub-printed board. By forming the retainer as one unit of a resin material, the number and cost of parts can be reduced, and moreover assembly and disassembly are facilitated and the number of working steps can be reduced.

摘要: A negative electrode material capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium is comprised of a mixture of coke and graphite. The amount of graphite in the mixture is near to that which induces percolation transition. Preferably, the amount of graphite in the mixture is 2 to 37 wt % relative to the total amount of the coke and graphite. The coke may be prepared by heating raw coke from oil or coal at 500 to 900.degree. C. The coke may be 0.06 or more in the atomic ratio of hydrogen to carbon and 0.003 or more in the atomic ratio of oxygen to carbon. The graphite may be 0.5 .mu.m to 30 .mu.m in a mean particle size. Lithium secondary batteries comprising the negative electrodes have a large discharge capacity.

摘要: A front-end spoiler arrangement formed on an under cover of a vehicle has to sufficiently reduce not only front lift acting on front wheels, but also air drag. The front-end spoiler arrangement comprises a front part, a ridge, a step, and a rear part. The step defines a space at the rear part. The front part and the step prevents an increase of the air drag, and air whirls s produced in the space generate downward force.

摘要: A volume control device mounting mechanism for on-vehicle equipment comprising: a variable resistor having a shaft; a knob mounted to an end of the shaft; a chassis for securing the shaft; a insertion hole formed on the chassis, the shaft being inserted through the hole; and slits formed on the chassis around the insertion hole, whereby mechanical strength of the chassis around the shaft insertion hole is slightly decreased from that of other portion of the chassis. The slits provided on the chassis prevent the volume control knob and the shaft from destruction due to large impact force, thereby the variable resistor as well as the knob and the shaft can be reused and human body of cardriver can be protected from injury.
