    摘要: Various embodiments are directed to a tri-layered power scheme for architectures which contain a microcontroller. In one embodiment, a power management system may comprise a microcontroller in a chipset, a low consumption power well to control a power supply to the microcontroller, and a power controller to control a power supply to the low consumption power well. The power management system may be arranged to switch among multiple power consumption states. In a maximum power consumption state, the microcontroller is on, the power controller is on, and the low consumption power well is on. In an intermediate power consumption state, the microcontroller is off, the power controller is on, and the low consumption power well is required to be on. In a minimum power consumption state, the microcontroller is off, the power controller is on, and the low consumption power well is optionally on or off at the discretion of the power controller. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Displacement of the valve takes place when a cam (9) is lifted and when a hydraulic force applying device (12) is lifted. A piston (13) of the force applying device can be displaced from a first end position (A) to a second end position by feeding a hydraulic medium, which can be pressure-adjusted, from a hydraulic medium line (24) into a pressure chamber (21). The pressure chamber (21) can be connected to the hydraulic medium line (24) via a shut-off element (20) which is open towards the pressure chamber (21) and which is arranged in the housing (15) and also by means of at least one passage (26) in the housing (15). The passage (26) is at least partially blocked by an external casing surface (16) of the piston (13) in the first end position (A) thereof.

    摘要: An apparatus and method of establishing communication between a first application added to a platform, and a second application executing on the platform, controls the first and second applications to establish a path for interapplication communication. To that end, a notify message is forwarded to the second application when the first application is added to the system. Receipt of the notify message by the second application causes the second application to ascertain path data for establishing a path between the two applications. The first application also ascertains path data for establishing a path between the applications. The first and second applications then are controlled to establish a single path between the first application and the second application after the path data is ascertained.

    摘要: An apparatus and method of managing communication between a first application that has failed and an executing second application permits the first application to establish a path to the second application. To that end, a fail message (notifying the second application that the first application has failed) is forwarded toward the second application, and the first application is restarted. As noted above, the first application establishes a path to the second application after it is restarted. Once the path is established, the second application is notified that the first application is ready to communicate via the path.
