摘要： An exothermic resistor for use in a hot wire air flow meter, having a wire (2) in the form of a coil made of a metal, a pair of lead wires (3) connected to connections (21) formed at the opposite ends of the coil, and a support member (4) which integrally supports the connection as well as the coil located between the connections. An example of the support member is in the form of a tubular cylinder closed at its both ends. The support member is formed from glass only or formed of a layer of a glass-ceramic-composite material. The hot wire air flow meter is designed to be easely mass-produced and to have improved transient response characteristics with respect to abrupt changes in the air flow rate.

摘要： A semiconductor chip module includes semiconductor chips each of which has contacts on its entire front face. A multi-layered organic circuit board having a small dielectric constant is provided for mounting the semiconductor chips. Intermediate ceramic substrates having the same thermal expansion coefficient as that of the semiconductor chip, are also provided. Each such intermediate ceramic substrate has contacts on its front and back faces corresponding to those of the semiconductor chip. These contacts are electrically connected directly in a one-to-one relationship. The contacts on the semiconductor chip and the corresponding ones on the front face of the intermediate ceramic substrates are connected by solder. The contacts on the back face of the intermediate ceramic substrate and the corresponding contacts on the front face of the multi-layered ceramic circuit board are connected by respective conductive pins having a predetermined flexibility and rigidity through a predetermined gap therebetween. With this arrangement, the relative displacement due to a thermal expansion difference between the intermediate ceramic substrate and the multi-layered organic circuit board is permitted without causing substantial stress thereon.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a magnetic head includes fabricating a magnetic block having a lamination of magnetic alloy films and nonmagnetic substrates, and cutting the magnetic block into two bars to obtain magnetic core halves. A nonmagnetic film is formed on a surface of each of the core halves. The core halves are joined by adjoining the surfaces having the nonmagnetic film and then heating the thus adjoined core halves. Additionally, a magnetic field is applied rotating in a plane parallel to a plane of the magnetic alloy films. The joined core halves is then cut into a specified width, and a wire-winding window is machined therein.

摘要： A perpendicular magnetic head of high recording and reproducing efficiency which integrally incorporates a step-up transformer. A main pole for picking up a reproduce magnetic flux from a recording medium and applying recording magnetic field thereto is formed of a magnetic thin film. A signal winding formed of a thin film is disposed in the immediate vicinity of the forward end of the main pole so as to have a high conversion sensitivity per turn with respect to the reproduce magnetic flux from the recording medium. The signal winding which itself constitutes a closed circuit interlinks a magnetic path of the step-up transformer, thereby forming a primary winding of the transformer. A secondary winding from which head output is taken out is wound in the magnetic path of the transformer.

摘要： Disclosed is a voltage non-linear resistor comprising a sintered body composed mainly of zinc oxide, said sintered body including confronting main faces and a face side face connecting the main faces to each other, which has the side face coated with a coating glass layer containing barium oxide. The coating glass layer comprises 40 to 85% by weight of lead oxide, 3 to 25% by weight of boron oxide. 1.5 to 25% by weight of silicon oxide and 0.2 to 15% by weight of barium oxide. The barium oxide acts as a catalyst and exerts a function of completely burning an organic binder at a temperature lower than about 400.degree. C. where the reaction between the organic binder and zinc oxide is not substantially advanced.
