    摘要: A system and method for customizing a computer system is disclosed herein. The computer system includes a controller and a storage device connected thereto. A software package having a plurality of modules is installed on the storage device. A reader is installed in the computer system. An identifier is placed on the computer system at least in dose proximity to the reader such that it is readable by the reader. The identifier corresponds to at least one of the plurality of modules such that, when the identifier is read by the reader at an initial boot up of the computer system, one or more modules automatically activates on the computer system and the computer system displays customized images.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a method to copy data from a first computer system to a second computer system comprises receiving, in a first computer system, a first signal initiated by an input/output device, wherein the first signal indicates a cut operation or a copy operation on at least one selected object displayed on the first computer system. In response to the first signal, the at least one selected object is copied to a memory buffer in a remote device coupled to the first computing system. A second signal initiated by the input/output device is received in a second computer system, wherein the second signal indicates a paste operation for at least one selected object. In response to the second signal, the at least one selected object is retrieved from the memory buffer in the remote device and inserted into a memory location on the second computer system.

    摘要: A process for converting a crude glycerol, crude mixtures of naturally derived multihydroxylated-aliphatic hydrocarbons or esters thereof to a chlorohydrin, by contacting the crude glycerol, crude mixtures of naturally derived multihydroxylated-aliphatic hydrocarbons or esters thereof starting material with a source of a superatmospheric partial pressure of hydrogen chloride for a sufficient time and at a sufficient temperature, and wherein such contracting step is carried out without substantial removal of water, to produce the desired chlorohydrin product; wherein the desired product or products can be made in high yield without substantial formation of undesired overchlorinated byproducts; wherein said crude glycerol, said ester of crude glycerol, or mixture thereof is derived from a renewable raw material. Chlorohydrins made by the process of the present invention are useful in preparing epoxides such as epichlorohydrins.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention relate to synchronizing registers. An embodiment includes a plurality of processing cells each includes a plurality of CPUs, which run at different frequencies and each of which has an ar.itc timer register. A CPU in the fastest cell of the plurality of cells is referred to as the fast CPU. CPUs in slower cells are referred to as slow CPUs. At predetermined time intervals, slow CPUs are provided with the ar.itc value of the fast CPU to replace the values of their ar.itc. As a result, values in the ar.itc registers are synchronized without providing negative time. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
