摘要: A knob locking assembly for a laparoscopic medical device is provided. The knob locking assembly includes a lock configured to engage the knob locking assembly with a drive tube housing of the laparoscopic medical device in extended and retracted positions where the knob locking assembly rotates but does not translate with respect to the drive tube housing when engaged. The knob locking assembly also has a biasing member that provides a biasing force for biasing the lock in each of the extended and retracted positions to lock out longitudinal translation of the rotatable drive assembly when the knob locking assembly is engaged with the drive tube. In addition, the knob locking assembly includes an actuator to counter the biasing force for disengaging the lock to permit longitudinal translation of the rotatable drive assembly via the knob locking assembly when disengaged.

摘要: A tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen includes a tube extending axially along the catheter. A junction box housing is located at a distal end of the tube. An elongate body extends distally from the junction box housing. The elongate body is sized and shaped to be received in the body lumen. A gear assembly is disposed in the junction box housing. The gear assembly engages the elongate body for rotating the elongate body. A tissue-removing element is mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body. The tissue-removing element is configured to remove the tissue as the tissue-removing element is rotated by the elongate body within the body lumen.

摘要: An impact or extension handle for a needle assembly such as a jamshidi needle can include an attachment portion and a handle portion. The impact or extension handle can also include an impact strikeplate. The attachment portion is configured to couple to the jamshidi needle. A user can use the impact or extension handle to manipulate the position or angle of the needle assembly. A user can tap a mallet or similar instrument on the impact strikeplate to drive the needle assembly into a target location in a patient's body. The impact or extension handle can allow the user to hold his or her hands out of the way of equipment used during the procedure and away from potentially harmful radiation from imaging equipment used during the procedure.

摘要: Systems and methods for a teleoperational system and control thereof are provided. An exemplary system includes a first manipulator configured to support an instrument moveable within an instrument workspace, the instrument having an instrument frame of reference, and includes an operator input device configured to receive movement commands from an operator. The system further includes a control system to implement the movement commands by comparing an orientation of the instrument with an orientation of a field of view of the instrument workspace to produce an orientation comparison. When the comparison does not meet certain criteria, the control system causes instrument motion in a first direction relative to the instrument frame in response to a movement command. When the comparison meets the criteria, the control system causes instrument in a second direction relative to the instrument frame in response to the movement command. The second direction differs from the first direction.

摘要: A ultrasonic treatment apparatus includes a handpiece. The handpiece includes a probe and a hollow sheath. The sheath covers and protects the probe. The probe has a rod-shaped main body portion and a treatment portion provided at the distal end of the main body portion. The treatment part includes a cutting region. The sheath includes a first portion covering the main body portion and a second portion covering the curved portion of the treatment portion. The physician inserts the probe and sheath into the joint space and strikes the cutting area against the bone. When ultrasonic vibration is transmitted to the probe, the bone is cut.
