    摘要: A gap adjustment member includes a main body and an outward protrusion. The main body portion has a diameter less than or equal to the diameter of a mounting hole. The outward protrusion protrudes outwardly on an outer perimeter surface of the main body portion, the number of the protrusions being less than or equal to the number of recessed grooves. A diameter of a circumscribing circle, which circumscribes the main body portion and passes a projecting end of the protrusion, and a crossing point, in which a line that passes the projecting end and a center of the main body portion intersects the outer perimeter surface of the main body portion, and which is a crossing point on the opposite side of the projecting end, is configured to be greater than the diameter of the mounting hole and less than or equal to the diameter of an annular groove.

    摘要: A cylinder block includes a support wall part that rotatably supports a crank shaft. The support wall part has a fitting recess part to which a bearing cap can be fitted. In each of the left and right corner parts where a bottom surface and a fitting surface of the fitting recess part intersect, a notch groove is formed that extends in the array direction of cylinder bores and has a substantially arc-shaped cross section when cut by the virtual plane along the extension direction thereof. As a result, stress having a greater value as the location becomes closer to the center part in the extension direction of the notch groove can be substantially uniform in the extension direction of said notch groove, and it is possible to effectively mitigate the stress concentration.

    摘要: A gear pair includes a first gear and a second gear that are engaged and paired with each other, wherein the arithmetic average roughness Ra of the tooth surface of the first gear is less than 0.10, and the arithmetic average roughness Ra of the tooth surface of the second gear is equal to or greater than 0.15. An improvement of the transmission efficiency is achieved due to the improved composite roughness of the gear pair. Accordingly, both of the improvement of the transmission efficiency of the gears and an improvement of the pitting fatigue life are achieved at low cost.

    摘要: A constitution of protecting a fuel delivery tube of an engine, includes: 1) an engine body including: a) a cylinder head, and b) a ladder cam bracket defining an outer wall on a side section thereof, including: i) an outer frame, ii) an intake cam bracket, and iii) an exhaust cam bracket integrated with the outer frame and holding an exhaust cam shaft; 2) the fuel delivery tube disposed beside the engine body and extending in a direction substantially along a row of a cylinder; and 3) an intake manifold made of a material free from a metal. The outer wall of the ladder cam bracket is formed with a protrusion which protrudes toward a branch section of the intake manifold in such a manner as to prevent the branch section of the intake manifold from causing an interference with the fuel delivery tube.
