    摘要: An improved method for injection molding fine particulate inorganic materials that first spray dries a fine particulate inorganic material and then mixes the dried particulate inorganic material with a binder system to form a compounded material. The compounded material is then injected, at a low pressure into a mold to form a green part. The green part is then debinded to remove most of the binder system and the debinded green part is then sintered to form the final molded part.

    摘要: Ceramic guide rails for guiding photographic film into a perforating machine are disclosed. The ceramic includes zirconium oxide and yttria in a molar ratio of yttria to zirconium oxide of from about 3:97 to about 5:95. The zirconium oxide is essentially the tetragonal phase crystal grain. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention the outer surface of the zirconium oxide is altered to the cubic phase crystal grain or the monoclinic crystal grain.

    摘要: Lithographic printing is carried out by a novel process utilizing a zirconia ceramic as a printing plate. In this process, the surface of the zirconia ceramic printing plate is imagewise exposed to radiation which transforms it from a hydrophilic to an oleophilic state or from an oleophilic to a hydrophilic state, thereby creating a lithographic printing surface which is hydrophilic in non-image areas and is oleophilic and thus capable of accepting printing ink in image areas. The zirconia ceramic printing plate utilized in this process is capable of extremely long printing runs, is especially well adapted for direct digital laser imaging using images that are electronically captured and digitally stored, and can be reused by erasing the image from the ceramic surface by thermally-activated oxidation or laser-assisted oxidation.

    摘要: Described herein are methods of producing an aluminide barrier layer, wherein the barrier layer includes nickel aluminide, iron aluminide, or a combination thereof, and the barrier layer is produced by a diffusion coating process on at least one surface of the article. The methods described herein are useful for preventing or reducing the migration of a metal species at or near at least one surface of the article. The articles produced by the methods described herein have numerous applications in the construction and operation of fuel cells.

    摘要: A method and resulting device for metallic structures including interconnects and sealed frames for solid oxide fuel cells, particularly those with multi-cell electrolyte sheets, includes providing a high-temperature aluminum-containing surface-alumina-forming steel, forming an interconnect structure from the steel, removing any alumina layer from a surface portion of the interconnect where an electrical contact is to be formed, providing a structure having a surface portion with which electrical contact is to be made by the surface portion of the interconnect, and brazing the surface portion of the interconnect to the surface portion of the structure, and sealing fuel cell frames by brazing.
