摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for processing isolated mammalian tissue for use in surgical grafting, implantation, or transplantation procedures. The method employs electron beam sterilization, the collagen tissue is partially submerged in rHSA (Recombinant Human Serum Albumin), the tissue is stored in specially designed packaging, and the tissue is stored at ambient temperatures without requiring refrigeration. The terminal sterilization using electronic beams takes place in the special packaging. This inventive technology offers advantages including being biologically safe, maintaining tissue integrity while minimizing size, increasing scalability, increasing shelf life, increasing the amount of tissue usable for transplantation, and reducing of costs associated with processing and storing tissue for long periods of time.

摘要: Subject matter disclosed herein relates to methods and apparatus, such as memory devices and systems including such memory devices. In one apparatus example, a plurality of block configurations may be employed. Block configurations may include an arrangement of similarly doped semiconductor switches. Block configurations may select a respective tile of a memory array, a particular memory cell of the respective tile, and select a memory operation to apply to the particular memory cell. Immediately adjacent block configurations within a particular slice of the memory array may be substantially mirrored and immediately adjacent block configurations in separate immediately adjacent slices of the memory array may be substantially similar. Similarly doped diffusion regions for similarly doped semiconductor switches in substantially mirrored block configurations may be arranged to electrically share a common potential signal value level. Other apparatus and methods are also disclosed.

摘要: Systems are disclosed for enabling, disabling or restoring cellPhone operations when these cellPhones are in certain zones. A zone is comprised of cuboids (boxes). Entering or exiting such a zone can disable, enable or restore certain cellPhone operations. A first Global Position Satellite-based system determines if a cellPhone is entering a certain geographical zone. For instance, when it enters, dialing can be disabled. A second GPSS-like system using an ultrasonic signal determines if the cellPhone is in a zone in a moving vehicle. Such a zone might be the space around the driver. A third system uses table-lookup in a system like the second system to determine if the cellPhone is in the zone that the driver is in. In mobile vehicles, the two last-mentioned systems can prevent drivers from texting when the vehicle is in motion.

摘要: A first microcontroller running an application with input-output is coupled through a serial communication channel to a second microcontroller running a human interface display and keyboard. The aforementioned first microcontroller sends a C-language printf( )-like format string and raw binary data variables to the aforementioned second microcontroller, which converts this data into ASCII character strings, which it displays. This second microcontroller, responsive to keyboard activity, edits the ASCII character strings, and sends updated raw binary data over the serial communication channel to the aforementioned first microcontroller, which rewrites this raw binary data in its memory. This apparatus reduces the size of the application's program memory. It puts such program memory removed from this first microcontroller into this second microcontroller, to reduce this first microcontroller's design and implementation cost, and implementing this second microcontroller using a flexible human interface program that can be reused without being reprogrammed.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for conditioning a polishing pad include a base, an arm pivotally coupled to the base and adapted to support a conditioning disk, and an actuator coupled to the base and the arm. The actuator is adapted to cause the arm to press the conditioning disk against the polishing pad with a linearly variable amount of force. A first force is produced with the actuator. The first force is scaled by a linearly variable amount to a second force that is applied to the polishing pad by a conditioning disk. Numerous other aspects are disclosed.

摘要: A system for selectively restricting or enabling the use of a cellular telephone module in a zone is described, comprising: a control signal transmitter for generating a control signal at an entrance to the zone or alternatively generating control signals throughout the zone; the cellular telephone including a module; a receiver module within the cellular telephone responsive to the control signal for generating a module enable/restrict upon receipt of the control signal; and a switch within the cellular telephone responsive to the module enable/restrict for selectively enabling or inhibiting the operation of the module for a predetermined period of time after receipt of the control signal. Additionally, this system's cellular telephone can dial a telephone, send a message to it, receive a text message from it, and send digits to it, to handle emergencies or conduct business. Finally, the system can remind owners to recharge their cellular telephone batteries.
