    摘要: An ignition timing control method for an internal combustion engine, which controls the ignition timing, on the basis of a basic ignition timing value determined as a function of operating parameters of the engine. When a detected parameter value indicative of engine temperature is lower than a predetermined value, a correction variable for the basic ignition timing value is determined based upon detected parameter values indicative of engine temperature and engine load magnitude, to correct the basic ignition timing value thereby. Ignition of the mixture is effected at a timing according to the corrected basic ignition timing value. Preferably, when detected engine rotational speed is lower than a predetermined value lower than the engine idling speed or when it is higher than a predetermined high rotational speed value, the correction of the basic ignition timing value by the correction variable is prohibited.

    摘要: An air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine includes an air-fuel ratio sensor for detecting the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gases from the engine. An ECU estimates the air-fuel ratio of a mixture supplied to each of the cylinders cylinder by cylinder in response to an output from the air-fuel ratio sensor, by using an observer based on a model representative of the behavior of the exhaust system. Cylinder-by-cylinder air-fuel ratio control amounts corresponding respectively to the cylinders are calculated for carrying out feedback control of the air-fuel ratio of the mixture such that each of the estimated air-fuel ratio is converged to a desired value. One of the cylinder-by-cylinder air-fuel ratio control amounts corresponding to one of the cylinders is held at a predetermined value, and it is determined whether relationships in value between ones of the cylinder-by-cylinder air-fuel ratio control amounts corresponding respectively to cylinders other than the one cylinder and a plurality of predetermined determination values meet a predetermined determination pattern. When the relationships meet the predetermined determination pattern, it is determined that the response speed of the air-fuel ratio sensor has changed.

    摘要: An air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine includes an air-fuel ratio sensor arranged in the exhaust system, for detecting the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gases from the engine. An ECU calculates an air-fuel ratio control amount, based on the output from the air-fuel ratio sensor, by using an adaptive controller having an adaptive parameter-adjusting mechanism for adjusting adaptive parameters, such that the air-fuel ratio of a mixture supplied to the engine is converged to a desired air-fuel ratio, and controls the air-fuel ratio of the mixture in a feedback manner, according to the calculated air-fuel ratio control amount. The adaptive parameter-adjusting mechanism calculates a parameter corresponding to an integral term of the air-fuel ratio control amount, and limit-checks a value of the parameter corresponding to the integral term so as to fall within a predetermined limit range.
