    摘要: Methods for improving color properties of triethanolamine, and triethanolamine compositions treated thereby, are disclosed, wherein the methods comprise: (a) providing a composition comprising triethanolamine; and (b) contacting the composition with an acid component and a basic component; wherein the acid component comprises an acid selected from the group consisting of phosphorous acid, hypophosphorous acid and mixtures thereof; and wherein the basic component comprises a compound selected from the group consisting of alkali metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, ammonium hydroxides according to general formula (I), and mixtures thereof: [R1R2R3(2-hydroxyethyl)ammonium]hydroxide  (I) wherein R1, R2 and R3 each independently represents a C1-30 alkyl or a C2-10 hydroxyalkyl; with the proviso that where the basic component comprises an alkali metal hydroxide, the molar ratio of acid component:basic component is 1:0.1 to 1:1, and where the basic component comprises an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, the molar ratio of acid component:basic component is 1:0.05 to 1:0.5.

    摘要: A process for quantification of cell populations or subpopulations, by incubating a sample with labelled antibodies directed against characteristic surface antigens of the cell population to be quantified to form labelled antibody/antigen complexes. Standards with known, differing particle concentration and having comparable sedimentation behavior to the cells to be determined and further, carrying molecules which are directed against the labelled antibody or a part hereof are also incubated with the labelled antibodies. The cells of the sample solution, as well as the particles of the standard solution, are separated off from the excess labelled antibodies and the amount of the labelling is measured not only on the cells but also on the particles. By comparison of the measurement value from the sample with the measurement values from the standard solutions, there is ascertained the number of cells to be determined in the sample. The standard and a reagent kit for carrying out the process are also the subject of this application.

    摘要: The present invention concerns a solid phase method for isolating and/or enriching predetermined cells from a sample. Such methods are used e.g. to isolate and enrich predetermined cells like fetal cells from a sample of maternal peripheral blood, tumor cells from a sample of body fluid or stem cells from a fluid or fluidized sample of body tissue or body fluid. The solid phase isolation method of the present invention is used for isolating predetermined cells from a sample containing such predetermined cells by binding the predetermined cells to a solid surface. According to the invention the sample is contacted with the solid surface and then removed from the solid surface, wherein the sample or a washing buffer contains a polyol during or after contacting the sample with the solid surface.
