    摘要: An apparatus for cooling intake air temperature of a vehicle may include a vortex tube receiving high pressure air discharged from an intercooler of a vehicle and then separating the high pressure air using centrifugation into high temperature air and low temperature air; a first bypass line connecting the vortex tube with a compressor, allowing the low temperature air to move therethrough, and selectively opened/closed by a first check valve; a second bypass line connecting the vortex tube with an exhaust line of the vehicle and allowing the high temperature air to move therethrough as a second check valve is opened/closed; and a controller controlling to open or close the first and second check valves.

    摘要: This invention relates to the field of induction cleaning, more particularly to chemically cleaning the induction system of the internal combustion engine. The carbon that accumulates within the induction tract of the internal combustion engine is very difficult to remove. Chemically these carbon deposits are very close to that of asphalt or bitumen. It has been found that if the induction cleaning chemicals are delivered in timed layered intervals the removal of such induction carbon can be accomplished. The Dual Solenoid Induction Cleaner uses electronically controlled solenoids to deliver at least two different chemistries in alternating layers to the engine's induction system. These electric solenoids are connected to a single induction cleaner nozzle. The induction cleaner nozzle is slipped through the vacuum port opening into the inside of the induction system where it will spray an aerosol of the chemistry directly into the moving air column entering the engine.

    摘要: A low-pressure-loop EGR apparatus of an engine includes an EGR passage to allow part of exhaust gas discharged from a combustion chamber to return as EGR gas to the combustion chamber, and an EGR valve to regulate a flow of EGR gas in the EGR passage. This passage has an inlet connected to an exhaust passage downstream of a turbine and an outlet connected to an intake passage upstream of a compressor. In the intake passage, an intake bypass passage is provided to connect an upstream portion and a downstream part from the compressor. An ABV is provided in the passage. To remove EGR gas remaining in the ABV, one end of a residual gas removal passage is connected to the intake passage downstream of a throttle valve and the other end of the same passage is connected to the ABV.

    摘要: An in-line treble port venturi connector provides a low flow, low pressure inlet port for drawing supplemental fluid into a main flow path. The connector includes a main flow tube having a mixing channel restricting flow and lowering pressure between an upstream port and a downstream port. A baffle projects into the main flow tube from the inner surface of the mixing channel at a location upstream of an inlet port, obstructing main flow to create a separation zone in the low pressure area, causing rotational flow within the separation zone and lowering the average flow rate in the direction of main flow. A pressure differential allows supplemental fluid to be drawn into the mixing channel through the inlet port. The connector may be used to introduce hydrogen or oxygen gas from an on-board generator into a main flow of hydrocarbon fuel in the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine.

    摘要: An air intake assembly configured to direct air into a throttle body of an engine of an automotive vehicle includes an air cleaner enclosure, primary and secondary air intake ducts, a ram air power valve and a downstream air intake duct. The air cleaner enclosure unit has an air cleaner inlet and an air cleaner outlet. The primary air intake duct directs air between a primary air inlet and the air cleaner inlet. The secondary air intake duct directs air between a secondary air inlet and the air cleaner inlet. The ram air power valve is disposed in the secondary air intake duct and is configured to move between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, air is permitted to flow through the secondary intake duct. In the closed position air is inhibited from passing through the secondary air intake duct.
