    摘要: An engine controlling apparatus for a motorcycle for reducing the output power of the engine when necessary includes a second controller for deciding, if a brake operation is detected based on an opening value of an accelerator grip detected by a potentiometer for detecting an opening value of the accelerator grip that the accelerator grip is in an open state, whether it is necessary to reduce the output power of an engine and for carrying out output power reduction control of the engine. If a front wheel brake sensor detects a brake operation for the front wheel and in addition it is decided from the speed value detected by a vehicle speed sensor that the motorcycle is not being decelerated, then the second controller decides that there is the necessity to reduce the output power of the engine and carries out the output power reduction control of the engine.

    摘要: A vehicle control apparatus includes: an automatic-stop-and-restart-control-unit stopping/restarting an engine, a brake-fluid-pressure-control-unit controlling wheel-cylinder-pressure using a brake-system, which intensifies brake-manipulation-force by a brake-booster to cause master-cylinder-pressure in a master-cylinder while the engine operates, and which transfers the master-cylinder-pressure to wheel-cylinders to cause the wheel-cylinder-pressure, the brake-system including an actuator automatically increasing pressure in the wheel-cylinders irrespective of the brake-manipulation-force; a negative-pressure-detection-unit which detects the vacuum-pressure; a first-determination-unit which determines whether the vacuum-pressure is not more than a first threshold while the engine stops, a restarting-unit which allows the automatic-stop-and-restart-control-unit to restart the engine when the first-determination-unit determines that the vacuum-pressure is not more than the first threshold; a second-determination-unit which determines whether the vacuum-pressure is not more than a second threshold; and a braking-boost-unit which allows the brake-fluid-pressure-control-unit to automatically increase the pressure in the wheel-cylinders when the second-determination-unit determines that the vacuum-pressure is not more than the second threshold.

    摘要: A method of controlling fuel injection in an engine of a vehicle having an anti-lock braking system comprises under conditions of degraded operation of an anti-lock braking system, restricting deactivation of the fuel injection during deceleration vehicle operating conditions. According to another aspect, the method comprises under conditions where the anti-lock braking system is functioning, disabling fuel injection during at least some deceleration operations; and under conditions of degraded operation of the anti-lock braking system, restricting deactivation of the fuel injection during deceleration vehicle operating conditions. By considering the functioning of an ABS, it is possible to deactivate fuel injection during some deceleration operations during one condition to realize fuel economy gains and disable the deactivation of fuel injection at another condition to reduce engine stalls. Thus, the deceleration fuel shut off strategy may be used aggressively for improved fuel economy.
