Abstract: The present invention relates to a hard coating film including a substrate and a hard coating layer provided on at least one surface of the substrate, in which the hard coating layer includes a fluorine-based UV-curable-functional-group-containing compound, a conductive polymer, and a solvent, the conductive polymer being included in a specific amount, and the surface roughness (Ra) value of the hard coating layer is 1 nm or less, whereby the hard coating film can simultaneously exhibit hard coating performance and antifouling performance even in the form of a single layer not including a separate antifouling layer, and is remarkably improved in an antifouling effect based on the low surface roughness thereof due to the absence of inorganic fine particles, and the improved antifouling effect can be effectively maintained even in the presence of variously changing environmental conditions, and to a window and an image display device using the same.

Abstract: Composite particles are provided that can be used to cure epoxy resins. More particularly, the composite particles have a porous polymeric core particle, a curing agent and/or a curing catalyst for an epoxy resin positioned within the porous polymeric core particle, and a fluoropolymer-containing coating layer around the porous polymeric core particle. Additionally, curable compositions are provided that are mixtures containing an epoxy resin and the composite particles. The epoxy resin typically does not react until the curable composition is heated causing the release of the curing agent and/or curing catalyst from the composite particle. Further, cured compositions formed from the curable composition are provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a conductive material comprising: (A) a π-conjugated polymer, and (B) a dopant polymer which contains one or more repeating units selected from “a1” to “a4” respectively represented by the following general formula (1) and has a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 1,000 to 500,000, (C) a nanoparticle which is selected from a gold nanoparticle, a silver nanoparticle, and a platinum nanoparticle and has a particle diameter of 1 to 200 nm. There can be provided a conductive material that has excellent film-formability and also can form a conductive film having high transparency and conductivity, superior flexibility and flatness when the film is formed from the material.

Abstract: This document describes a conformable substrate that includes a hydrogel having adhesion-promoting moieties, said adhesion-promoting moieties comprising one or more catechol groups. The conformable substrate includes an array of microelectrodes bonded to the hydrogel by the adhesion-promoting moieties via the one or more catechol groups. This document also describes a method for transfer printing of an electronic structure to a hydrogel. The method includes the steps of coating a donor substrate with a film of polyacrylic acid, crosslinking the film of polyacrylic acid in a solution comprising divalent ions, patterning a microelectrode array onto the crosslinked film of polyacrylic acid, laminating an adhesive hydrogel substrate onto the donor substrate coated by the crosslinked film of polyacrylic acid comprising the patterned microelectrode array, and separating the crosslinked film of polyacrylic acid from the donor substrate in a monovalent solution.

Abstract: Provided are a resin blend for melt processing, a pellet and a method of preparing a resin article using the same. The resin blend may include a first resin, and a second resin having a difference in solubility parameter from the first resin at 25° C. of 0.001 to 10 (J/cm3)1/2. The resin blend can improve mechanical and surface characteristics of a resin article. Further, since coating or plating is not required for manufacturing a resin article, a manufacturing time and/or cost can be reduced, and productivity can be increased.

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments of the present invention, a composite material is prepared by blending a flame retardant modified cellulosic nanomaterial (FR-CN) filler into a polymer, wherein the FR-CN filler comprises a cellulosic nanomaterial (e.g., cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and/or cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs)) having a surface functionalized to incorporate a phosphorus-containing moiety. In some embodiments, the FR-CN filler is prepared by reacting hydroxyl groups on the surface of the cellulosic nanomaterial and a halogenated phosphorous-containing monomer (e.g., diphenyl phosphoryl chloride). In some embodiments, the surface of the cellulosic nanomaterial is further functionalized to incorporate an orthogonal functionality selected to enhance the compatibility of the FR-CN filler with the polymer by reacting hydroxyl groups on the surface of the cellulosic nanomaterial and a monomer (e.g., epichlorohydrin when the polymer is an epoxy-based polymer).
