摘要: An electronic device and a control method using the same are provided. The electronic device may include: a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor having a plurality of channels arranged isotropically; and a processor configured to: detect a center of gravity of an external force applied to a measurement area of the PPG sensor by an object, based on PPG signals that are detected from the plurality of channels when the object is in contact with the measurement area of the PPG sensor, and generate a control command based on a change in the detected center of gravity.

摘要: A device is not able to detect the forgery of a finger with high accuracy by the comparison of a reflected light image and a transmitted light image that are obtained from the same finger. A determination device is provided with an input means for receiving the reflected light image obtained by photographing a fingerprint of a finger with light reflected from the surface of the finger and the transmitted light image obtained by photographing the fingerprint of the finger with light transmitted through the finger, and a determination means for comparing the reflected light image and the transmitted light image, and outputting a real-forgery determination result of the fingerprint of the finger.

摘要: A medical device for providing therapy to a patient comprises at least one processor configured to receive a first patient biometric signature from at least one first sensor interface. The at least one processor is further configured to record the first patient biometric signature in a patient encounter record in at least one memory. The at least one processor is further configured to receive patient information from an external source, the patient information comprising a second patient biometric signature. The at least one processor is further configured to make a determination that the second patient biometric signature corresponds to the first patient biometric signature. The at least one processor is further configured to, in response to making the determination, merge the patient information and the patient encounter record into a merged record for a patient encounter.

摘要: A graphical user interface (GUI) of a patient bed is used by a caregiver to manually enter location data indicative of a location in a healthcare facility at which the patient bed is located. A first screen for manually entering location data is displayed on the GUI after a threshold period of time elapses subsequent to a power plug of the patient bed being plugged into an alternating current (AC) outlet of the healthcare facility and subsequent to casters of the patient bed being braked. A voice prompt is also given from the patient bed after the threshold period of time elapses to remind the caregiver to manually enter the location data. After manual entry of the location data, circuitry of the patient bed transmits the location data entered by the caregiver and a bed identification (ID) from the bed for receipt by a remote computer for purposes of making a bed-to-room association.
