摘要： An exhaust gas purification system (method and device) for the treatment of diesel exhaust gases containing nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons is disclosed, which comprises the addition of ammonia or of a compound decomposable to ammonia into the exhaust gas stream and the subsequent leading of the exhaust gas stream over two successively arranged SCR catalysts with different properties and compositions. Both SCR catalysts are free of vanadium compounds and only the downstream SCR catalyst contains zeolite compounds. The exhaust gas purification system according to the invention is characterized by good “kick-off” behavior at low temperatures and a simultaneously high conversion performance over a wide temperature range.

摘要： The invention proposes a particulate filter having a catalytic coating which contains two catalysts arranged one behind the other. The first catalyst is located in the gas inlet region of the filter and contains a palladium/platinum catalyst. The second catalyst is arranged downstream of the first catalyst and preferably contains platinum alone as catalytically active component. The combination of these two catalysts provides the coated filter with a good ageing stability and resistance to sulphur poisoning.

摘要： The invention relates to a catalyst arrangement for purifying the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines operated under lean conditions. It is proposed that a thinwalled, porous carrier be coated on one side with a nitrogen oxide storage catalyst and on the other side with an SCR catalyst. When the exhaust gas is passed through the catalytic coatings and the support material, a significant improvement in the nitrogen oxide conversion is achieved compared to a series arrangement of the catalysts on separate carriers. Wall flow filters have been found to be useful as thin-walled carriers.

摘要： A catalytically active diesel particulate filter with ammonia trap action is presented, which, in addition to an oxidation-active coating (2), comprises a coating (1) which is catalytically active in the SCR reaction. By means of this inventive diesel particulate filter, it is possible to make exhaust gas aftertreatment systems for removing nitrogen oxides and particulates from the exhaust gas of lean engines considerably simpler and less expensive.

摘要： Nitrogen oxide storage catalysts are used to remove nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines operated predominantly under lean burn conditions. When these catalysts are used in diesel vehicles, the increased sulfur content in the fuel during operation results in poisoning of the catalyst, which is reversible at high temperatures under reduced exhaust gas conditions. In the case of conventional nitrogen oxide storage catalysts, temperatures of more than 600° C. have to be obtained for desulfurization. This is not always possible in diesel vehicles with a nitrogen oxide storage catalyst in the underbody area.The invention presents a process whose application allows the desulfurization temperature of conventional nitrogen oxide storage catalysts which comprise a platinum component and at least one nitrogen oxide storage material to be lowered. The basicity of the chemical environment of the platinum is lowered, while the nitrogen oxide storage material can remain unchanged as such. In addition, an improved nitrogen oxide storage catalyst with reduced desulfurization temperature which results from the application of the process is presented. Such catalysts are suitable particularly for nitrogen oxide aftertreatment of the exhaust gases of diesel engines.

摘要： A method for removing nitrogen oxides and particulate matter from the lean exhaust gas of a combustion engine that also contains low concentrations of sulfur oxides. The exhaust gas stream is passed over a nitrogen oxide storage catalyst and a particulate filter, where nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides are adsorbed by the storage catalyst under lean exhaust gas conditions and the particulate matter is deposited on the particulate filter. The storage catalyst is in a first cycle is periodically denitrated by enriching the exhaust gas regeneration of the particulate filter. Desulfurization of the nitrogen oxide storage catalyst is carried out in a second cycle by raising the temperature of the lean exhaust gas to a value at which the particulate matter combustion on the particulate filter is initiated and then the storage catalyst can be desulfurized by enriching the exhaust gas.

摘要： The present invention provides processes for checking the operability of a nitrogen oxide storage catalyst during operation of a lean burn engine. The processes of the present invention utilize a nitrogen oxide storage material, a catalytically active component and optionally an oxygen storage material. During lean burn engine operation, damage to the catalytically active components is detected if the nitrogen oxide storage capacity in the kinetically controlled temperature range is lowered and damage to the storage material is detected if the nitrogen oxide storage capacity is lowered in the thermodynamically controlled temperature range.
