    摘要: A recording apparatus includes a conveying unit, recording processing unit, recording detection unit provided downstream of the recording processing unit to check plural maintenance patterns recorded on a continuous sheet, cutter unit, plural discharge units to selectively receive cut sheets, discharge unit changeover unit to select one discharge unit to receive a cut sheet, conveyance failure detection unit, and control unit. The control unit controls the discharge unit changeover unit such that, when a continuous sheet conveyance failure is detected upstream of a position where the cutter is, and a maintenance pattern previously checked is present downstream of the cutter when the conveyance failure is detected, a present sheet unit between the maintenance pattern and the cutter position is discharged to a second discharge unit. The second discharge unit is different from a first discharge unit used for a sheet unit other than the present sheet unit.

    摘要: A system is described for tracking a position of a receiver medium as it travels along a media path. A heat source provides heat to the receiver medium in a localized area sufficient to permanently alter a physical property of the receiver medium thereby forming a reference mark. A sensor at a downstream position along the media path is adapted to sense the reference mark providing a sensed signal. The sensed signal is analyzed to determine a position of the receiver medium as the receiver medium passes through the second position along the media path by detecting a position of the reference mark.

    摘要: A roll-fed duplex thermal printing system, comprising a supply roll of receiver media, a printing path, a reversing path, a pivotable diverter and a cutter positioned between the diverter and the reversing path. When the diverter is in a first position the receiver media is directed from the supply roll, when the diverter is in a second position the receiver media is directed from the supply roll into the reversing path, and when the diverter is in the third position the receiver media is directed from the reversing path into the printing path. During a printing operation, the diverter is sequentially repositioned to feed the receiver media into the printing path where a first side image is printed, into the reversing path where it is cut, and into the printing path again where a second side image is printed.

    摘要: A roll-fed duplex thermal printing system, comprising a supply roll of receiver media, a printing path, a turning mechanism, a diverter and a cutter positioned between the printing path and the turning mechanism. When the diverter is in the first position thermal imaging receiver is directed from the supply roll into the printing path, and when the diverter is in the second position the thermal imaging receiver is directed from the printing path into the turning mechanism. During a printing operation, the diverter is positioned in the first position and the receiver media is fed into the printing path where a first side image is printed. The diverter is then repositioned the receiver media is fed into the turning mechanism after being cut. The receiver media is fed back into the printing path where a second side image is printed.
